1. Brilliant amps these. I had one a few years back and stupidly sold it to try something else. Last year I bought another one as I missed it so much. Bump for a super amp with as much headroom as you'll ever need!
2. Here's my number one gigging bass. It's a US Fender P bass body that was bought by me in 1989. I think it came from an mid-80's US P bass. The neck was lost along the way (it was banana shaped!) so was replaced with a 2008 US Fender neck. The bridge was taken from the same 2008 bass. The pickup is a 62 reissue along with the pickguard which were both fitted years ago. It also has Sims LEDs mounted in the side dot positions and at one stage it had a preamp fitted hence the additional hole in the pickguard. It also has a set of TI flats on it that are at least 2 years old! I know every ding, dent and scuff on it and love it with all my heart. It's the one bass I can hand on heart say will never leave me
3.
This thread is killing me. One day i shall have a fiesta red precision with a rosewood fingerboard, tort pickguard, single coil at the bridge. Slightly sanded down neck. Ah. oh and stacked knobs. If anyone's feeling generous?
Like this one? My Pino
4. I couldn't find a topics on this, so thought I'd ask the question (apologies if this has been covered a thousand times). I haven't insured my equipment for a while now (I used to insure my gear), but given the fact that my band is now playing a number of venues we haven't played played before, I'd like to insure my gear (basses, amp and cabs). Cover would ideally include instruments left unattended in a car while we load/unload. I don't think my gear would be adequately covered by my house insurance but am not sure. I've got a few expensive basses that I would like to gig rather than them just sit at home under-employed and wondered if anyone has any recommendations at all. I'm not a member of the MU, so wouldn't benefit from any of their schemes etc. Thanks in advance.
5. These are really worth looking at. They get superb reviews too: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/205971-for-sale-ebs-session-60-combo-as-new-l175/page__fromsearch__1
6.
I like this - I like the HH setup, the weight is nice and low and to top it off I'm sure from the photos thats a one piece body? My 'ray days are over but this should be sold already...
Thanks very much I've got this and a Fender US 75 reissue Jazz for sale. I'm keeping whichever one doesn't sell but at the moment m hoping the Jazz sells first

8. Bump for price drop. It's the weekend. Treat yourself
9.
Of course, I meant the Bass Doc. I've edited my original post accordingly. You'd think I could remember the name of the guy who's going to be working on the damned thing, wouldn't you?
Howard is building me a fretless P bass neck I started to see Jack in a whole new light for a minute
10. I didn't know Jack was a skilled luthier
11. For sale is a 2006 Fender USA Vintage Reissue Jazz bass and Fender Tolex Case (with keys). It is in super condition and I am struggling to find a mark on the bass. The case is in good condition too with a few marks but no tears that I can see in the tolex. It is currently strung with a brand new set of DR Sunbeams and plays wonderfully with a nice medium low action. Weight-wise, it's probably around 9lbs, so a decent light piece of Ash and a great balance on the strap. It doesn't have the ashtrays or any of the other case candy unfortunately and there are no holes drilled in the body to mount it. I would rather the bass was picked up or am happy to meet somewhere, but would be willing to post if necessary. Price-wise I'm looking for £875. I'm in a bit of a quandary as I'm not sure whether to pass this Jazz bass on or the Stingray HH I currently have for sale too. I guess I'll keep whichever one doesn't sell first Both basses are also for sale on Ebay for more money! Here's a link to the Stingray advert: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/206696-for-sale-2007-musicman-stingray-4-hh-l850/page__fromsearch__1
12. For sale is a brand new copy of Ed Friedland's Jazz upright bass DVD. Yours for £7.50 plus £1 p&p
13.
I've sent you a PM, did you get it? Cheers
I did. Apologies, I thought I'd replied. Sorry, I'm not looking for trades in this case
14.
Nick, the Pino is a relic, whats the worst that can happen?
I'm not worried about knocks, more someone swiping it!
15. Alice has just talked me out of selling the Pino as I'm reluctant to gig it, so i'll pass on her advice How likely are you to regret it once you've sold it? Also how likely are you to get another one once you realise your mistake? Even when it old her how much I was offered for it she held fast with her opinion!
