1.
OHM, silly me, i was patiently waiting the price of the shipping in my mailbox, not a "sold" flag in this thread. I do understand the inconvenience of selling and shipping abroad if you can sell it to your neighbour. But i do not understand the kind of behaviour. Hope you made a good business. Greetings.
Firstly, I actually PM'd you within 30 minutes of you sending me your shipping address details. The quote I gave you was for £60 including full insurance (as requested). Secondly, I didn't receive the response by return you promised me despite checking the PM and seeing that you read it around 6.04pm on the Friday night. As a result, I decided to continue the deal with another Basschat member who had contacted me before your enquiry. I suggest you check my feedback thread at the bottom of my signature. With over 8 pages of what I would describe as impeccable feedback from other members (including a significant number of deals overseas) I think you will find there is absolutely no substance to you theory that I'd rather deal with someone in my own vicinity. I hve nothing further to add but would suggest you get your facts straight before airing dirty laundry in public.
2. Thanks for the comment guys. This absolutely has to go now as I've just invested in something rather expensive in Fiesta Red
3.
Nice one Nick, take it this one is a keeper then?
I've given up labelling basses as keepers Gary! There's only one bass that I would keep forever and that's my old P Bass that has been with me for 20-odd years
4. I you're in the area Paul please feel free to drop in. Maybe you can explain to me what on earth Cian Healy was trying to do in that ruck against England. Buggered if I know
5.
Is this bass mex made?
Yes. It's part of the excellent Road Worn series
6. Well, after years of ogling and dreaming, I've finally acquired a Fender Pino Palladino Signature P Bass (hence the sale of several other basses in my stable!) For me it doesn't get much better than this and after playing Clarky's fine example a while back, I knew one day I'd get one. Thanks to our very own Molan (Barrie), who while on holiday walking round Budapest Castle was able to broker a deal with the owner I was able to pick it up yesterday and have given it a good clean and polish today (I'm guessing the previous owner was a smoker ). It comes with the case, all the candy and the ever-elusive Custom Shop Certificate and is a joy to play and dare I say it, look at As a confirmed P Bass addict, I'm very happy indeed.
7. Unfortunately this one needs to go as I've just managed to acquire my dream Bass and it cost a lot! For sale only I'm afraid is my 2 week old Fender Nate Mendel P Bass with deluxe gigbag. It's as new and has been strung with TI Flats. The bass is superb and was definitely a keeper until this morning, but needs must. If you fancy a lightweight Nitro finished, tastefully and sparingly relic'd P Bass with a lovely slim neck, look no further I am looking for £515 which is well over £150 saving on one from the shops. I would also consider trades for a lightweight cab/cabs such as a pair of Epifani UL112's/410 (with cash adjustment)
8. Hi mate Apologies for the late reply. I'm still interested but will keep the bass up for grabs until we're able to agree a chance to meet up. I hope that makes sense
9.
Is it possible to see real pics?
Sure is. I'll try and post some pictures up in the next few days
10. Due to ongoing work commitments I'm not gigging as frequently as I was, so am reluctantly putting my Fender Custom Shop New Old Stock 64 Jazz Bass (plus case, all the Candy, certificate and lifetime warranty with Fender Custom Shop). It's in a wonderful Sea Foam Green (my favourite colour!) This bass is superb and is easily one of the best basses I've had the pleasure in playing. It weighs approx 8.5lbs and apart from a few very small pin-prick size dings (not through the paint) it's in wonderful condition. It also has Abigail Ybarra hand wound pickups which sound like nothing else on this earth! It comes with the original white pickguard plus a Fender 62 Reissue Tortoise Shell pickguard too. The NOS range are basically Custom Shop Basses made exactly the way they were back in the day (same paint, construction techniques, materials etc). The body is Alder. This cost me £2,300 about 6 months ago, so I am looking for £1,700 for this. I am not looking for trades, but would consider something like a Musicman SR5 or SR4 Unlined Fretless in p/ex but would look to clear a minimum of £1,000 cash too. Here are some pics. I'll take more later. Thanks for looking.
11.
I am sure it will sell. That's the kind of bass I want + need, they don't turn up often in this colour, at this price, and in this condition One day...
I've not heard back from the guy who viewed it one way or the other, so drop me a PM if you're tempted
12.
So, it's £800 cash right?
That's right. I do have someone viewing it tomorrow but will update the ad ASAP
13. I bought this recently but another recent acquisition means that something has to go (I mean, who needs 4 P Basses!!) It's in superb condition apart from some minor swirling on the pickguard and comes with the official Fender case. It has also been fully shielded and is now quiet as a mouse from a humming perspective. It weighs in at just over 9lbs. This is the new style Fender USA Deluxe series with the P/J configuration. The EQ is superb and it also has a Passive tone pot too. I am looking for the following in a trade: - A decent lightweight combo (IE Markbass) plus some cash my way - Stingray 5 string - Rickenbacker 330 - Fender USA Strat and combo - Quality electro-acoustic guitar - Epifani UL310/410 plus cash my way Trade value I would put at £800-850. At a real push I'd consider selling this and will get pics up ASAP. In the meantime, this is the stock pic from the Fender website and the bass looks identical and just to confirm it's in wonderful condition.
14. Matt has just bought my Ampeg Cab in a totally hassle free deal. He brought along his gorgeous Ibanez Bass which has done my GAS no good whatsoever Highly recommended
15.
Would you be able to send me a link to some pictures?
Drop me your email address and I'll send some over
16.
currently a pair of Epifani UL2-112 but I'd like to go for a single 2x12 (Barefaced/EAD/Epifani)...
Total opposite to me! I am currently using an excellent Genz Benz Neo212T (new series) but want to go back to using a pair of 112's
17. £310 as per the edited first post. I think that's a very good price
18. If this is anywhere near as good as my Surf Green CS Jazz bass, it will be superb. Cracking bass at a ridiculous price. Rich you're crazy
19. I'm pretty sure the nut width is 41.3mm. The neck profile feels like a B width to me, but has a slight V shape up near the nut to about the 5th fret. It is very comfortable though and moving from a Jazz to the P bass feels very comfortable.
