Dougal popped over today to buy my Fender P Bass. Top guy, easy deal and my dog loves him. I don't think feedback gets any better than that

For sale is a custom made Zilla Thiele ported 2x12 bass cab that I bought from Voxpop (Marc). Marc had the cab finished in Vox livery and the quality of this cab is simply superb. It's in excellent condition and the Rhino skin is competely intact with no tears or dings. The cab can be used on its side or length ways (the way I use it). The drivers are Celestion TF1225 250 watt, 8 ohm, 12 inch bass / mid units and the horn is a Fane compression driver. It is wired to give 500 watts into 4ohms. Marc used a computer programme to choose the correct drive units for this cab. It is tuned to around 50-60hz and produces a punchy warm rounded bass with good top end from the expensive Fane tweeter horn. This is a great full range cab..... The cab has rubber feet at the bottom and sides for different positions. The baffle is also angled to project the sound up wards to make it easier to hear your bass sound. Zilla is a custom builder so the cab can be changed if you want a different baffle size. If the VOX grill is not to taste Zilla can make one from many different finishes. Size (cm): 750 x 530 x 295 Weight 28kg ZIlla is a local UK builder who has won several awards for his designs. Here's a link to the Zilla website. As you can see, his gear is highly thought of: http://www.zillacabs.com/ I'm looking for £250 or a trade for an Epifani UL210 (8 ohms).

Unfortunately at this moment it's not what I'm looking for BUMP for lower price. I'm not going any lower than this

You're more than welcome to try my Little Mark Tube 800 Dave. I'm not sure it's exactly what you're looking for but it's an excuse to have a play anyway

I've only just bought this from Stevie on Basshcat but unfortunately due to another incoming bass, I can't justify having 2 P Basses. It's a stunning 2003 P Bass in either CAR or Chrome red. The maple neck is gorgeous and it's a dream to play. It has the S1 switch which honestly I would never use but it's there and does actually make a difference to the sound of the pickup. I have strung it with a brand new set of TI Flats and set it up. I comes with the original case too which is battered and has a few stickers on it but it perfectly useable and a strap wih straplocks. It really is a gorgeous bass and apart from a few knocks (one of the headstock and a chip on the lower bout of the body- both pictured), it's in great condition. I'd like £480 for it including the new set of TI flats or £470 with round wounds and would be willing to post for cost but would rather a pick up/meet.

Sadly due to an unforeseen purchase of 2 new basses and my wife subsequently finding out, I'm going to be moving this DB on It's a great bass for the money and a perfect starter Double Bass. I spent a whole Sunday travelling up the A1 to pick this up from Pontefract, bringing it back down South to where the air isn't quite as thin. It's just been fitted with a decent pair of D'Addario strings and will come with a copy of a very good instructional DVD: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00024O...ref=oss_product Because of the new strings and DVD I'm looking for £230 and many apologies to Jez for linking to his thread. I hope you don't mind Jez Pick up only from either near Woking or Basingstoke as I don't have a big enough envelope to post.
Damn, on a day which has already seen me spend 600% of my available bass funds! Don't suppose you're looking for anything trade wise Nick? I've got a Wizard matched PJ set and cash; new ultra-rare nickel Badass II in wrapping & cash; Mrs Beedster, possibly with cash? C
Hi Chris Unfortunately I'm sorted for pickups, bridges and wives. I wouldn't worry about it too much anyway; the way the market is at the moment these will probably be available for you to buy as a Christmas Present for yourself! Christmas 2012 that is

For sale is a set of Lollar P/J (4 string) pickups. They're in superb condition but I am going back to Fralins. Specs from the Lollar website below: Jazz pickup (bridge): Vintage output with scatter wound coil for superior tone. Bridge pickup has a smooth, powerful response—no mush. RWRP for hum-bucking operation when combined with the Neck pickup. Alnico 5 magnets. Wax potted. 8.5 k P Bass: Patterned after the original split coil humbucking bass pickup wound to early 60's specs. Scatter wound for more harmonic presence. Punchy with good definition. Hand beveled Alnico 5 magnets, vintage cloth covered wire. Wax Potted. To buy new in the UK they would cost over £215. I'm selling these for £110 inc postage.
anyone use them all the time? I playing with light gauges at the mo and had to restring with standard's which feel like cheese graters. Toying with the idea of playing with flats on all my basses. Just wondered what you all felt??
I use them on everything. Even my Tennis Racquet. Wouldn't use anything else, fretted or fretless
What a lovely bass. Really understated but with so many features. Plus you don't have to worry about dinging it (too much). If I wasn't committed elsewhere, I'd bag this for this great price.
Thanks mate Now fitted with a brand new set of La Bella Deep Talkin flats too

Ooh, can I be block from Off Topic too? It's the one area of Basschat I can't abide. Seriously, if I wasn't able to see it I'd be hugely grateful
A PM5 is definitely on my GAS list, and that's a great price ... but the relic finish is making me pause ... How much relicing has been done to the neck ? Do you think the relicing could be undone with just a body refin ? Or is the body too physically marked for that ? How would you class the the sound of the P pickup ? For instance, where on the scale of vintage -> modern would you put it ? Does it sound warm ? aggressive ? Fat ? Deep ? Thumpy ? Punchy ? Andy
Hi Andy The neck isn't reliced at all apart from a couple of dings on the headstock. The neck is varnished as per old Fenders but no relicing. The body has a few small dings but if you wanted to refin I think it would be relatively easy. The P pickup is very warm and with the eq it can go from punchy through to deep dub to mellow. Personally I think it's one of the best eq systems out there as it doesn't sound TOO active.
