1. Long-standing regular gig last night in Wimbledon. The ne Drummer offered to help take the PA so popped round mine first. I told him it was in the garage and he loaded the monitors and mixing desk in his car. 90 minutes later we arrive and set up. unfortunately the Drummer has brought my camping table rather than the mixer! Martin the landlord is unflappable and phones a mate who arrives with a spare desk in less than 5 minutes. The gig went really well and the Drummer is now referred to as Baden Powell
2.
thanks for the advice about sorting the issues out...i think you folks may be right. i was hoping the (what i consider to be) low price would tempt people, but it seems not. time to take it down to the bass gallery i reckon.
Or sell it to me for £200
3.
As an outsider I'd have to say that NOT getting the problems fixed and getting it set-up (mentioning that it needs a set-up indicates that 'something' needs to be done), could well hamper your sale at any price! I've no idea if £250 is a good or bad price for one these days (I had one when they first cane out and recall that £250 was about the going rate back then), but if the fixes are as cheap and easy as you say then getting them done could justify a couple of quid added onto your present sale price... otherwise potential buyers could be stroking their chin thinking; '£250 plus cost of new electrics, possibly inc pups, PLUS the cost of a set-up... could get expensive'! However, £275 for a fully sorted bass with no issues could be attractive. As I say I'm just playing 'Devil's Advocate' and looking at this as a neutral outsider; fear of the unknown is a sure way of folks keeping money in their wallets especially when times are hard.
Totally agree. Ive been looking at this thinking "if it was £50-60 cheaper I'd snap it up". I'd even brave Tottenham too
4. Benedict bought my La Bella B string in what was a completely hassle free and easy deal. Highly recommended. Thanks Benedict
5. Nice trio Gary. You did a grand job on the 57 P bass.
6. I've got a couple of new ones you can have. PM me your details. Postage might be heavy though

8. Is it not one of those Mex or Korean Fender 24 fret Jazzes? It looks kosher to me.
9. For sale is a genuine US Fender Tortoise shell pickguard for a Jazz bass. It's in very good condition (a few scuff marks) but other than this is perfect. Yours for £25 inc P&P.
10. I think you've gone about it in exactly the right way. I don't think your buyer could expect you to be any more diligent than you have been
11. It's a gorgeous bass. Very light, sounds superb and is even more beautiful in the flesh Al is a great guy to deal with too.
12. For sale is a set of La Bella Deep Talkin Flats light gauge (43-104) that have been Fitted to my Fender Jazz for no more than an hour. Unfortunately I'm a convert to TI's so these are surplus to requirements! They are as good as new and been used once. Yours for £25 Inc P&P
