  1. This is our new rescue dog. We've called him Buddy
  2. My Mum called her neighbour Glynis for over 10 years because I once said she looked a bit like Glynis Kinnock. Her name was Janet
  3. Amazing. For fear of offending I'd say it reminds me of a Ritter but with class. Great job 👍
  4. Thank you 😊 Stingrays (both 4 or 5 string) have always been my favourite basses in terms of looks, build quality and ergonomics but I definitely prefer 2eq over 3eq for sounds. That said, the 3eq Specials are indeed, special, and after a few false starts with them I can dial in some really useable sounds to my taste. When I popped in to Bass Bros and asked Will if I could try out a few Rays I don't think I've ever seen so many examples available to try in one place.
  5. All I know is they'd better get their skates on before Joe Bonamassa buys them all up and stores them in his cave where he does (apparently) unspeakable things to them in turn, while the other guitars watch on horrified.
  6. For sale is a brand new (still has the tag on it) Gator 1110 amp/pedal bag measuring 11x10". I bought this for an incoming amp head which never materialised so it's now surplus to requirements. Yours for £23 inc. postage.
  7. I only know him from the stuff he did with Ben Harper but he was a great player 👍
  8. I'm definitely more in the business rather than pretty camp!
  9. That's the Prince Bass. My wife threw up a bit in her mouth when I opened the case
  10. INXS for me. I had Kick (who didn't) but never fully appreciated what a great band they were and what a brilliant front man and singer Michael Hutchence was until I saw Live Baby Live recently.
  11. Facebook Marketplace is often well populated with DB's for sale
  12. 2018 Stingray Classic in Vintage Sunburst, 1996 2EQ Ray in Cherryburst and 2022 Stingray Special HH in Amethyst Sparkle.
  13. My latest offering: Ric 4003S, 1989 Fender US P Bass, 2018 Stingray Classic, 1996 2EQ Stingray, 2022 Stingray Special HH, 2021 Status Kingbass Artist and 2022 Status S2 Classic.
  14. Thanks Michael, although given my track record I'd probably choose the name "Old Horse TBC" or "Merry-go-round Murphy" 😊
  15. I asked Will if I could try out the 2018 Classic Stingray they had in stock and after playing it I decided to make a purchase. It's absolutely spotless and weighs 9lbs 8oz (top of my weight range really) but is light for one of these. I've strung it with TI flats and it's brilliant. Foolishly, while I was waiting for Will to dig out the Classic I picked up a 1996 2EQ Ray that was sat on a stand and basically couldn't put it down again. It's got a few dings and minor chips (who hasn't?) but weighs in at just under 8 1/2lbs and just sounds amazing. Fortunately Will was agreeable to a p/x and I walked away with two Rays to join my Special that I've been gigging with recently. There's such a difference between the single and double H basses and the 2 vs. 3 eq that I felt I could justify it. Having recently moved a few basses on I didn't feel too guilty either. It's strange; I've been a passive bass fan for so long but now ffive of my seven basses are active and it works really well for me gigging-wise.
