Indeed it is mate, Squires doing fine, got some roundwounds on it, looking at some Wizards at some point and probably a better bridge, but I want to get the Geddy Lee sorted out first. I see your a bit of a martial artist too.
I was in to my Judo in quite a big way (you probably saw my poor old ears). It complimented my Rugby playing very well (balance, strength etc) but since having 3 Achilles ops I had to stop. When I get the all-clear from my surgeon I may try it again. It sounds like a lot of hard work to me now though
It's very difficult but it does rather look like they should go as they aren't going to get played very much Maybe the MTD too It is great that I've settled on something though - really pleased with the sound last night, best I've ever had & gave me so much more confidence - hooray!!
Does that mean I get to hang on to the Overwater a bit longer then Barrie? I'm really pleased for you. I had one of those Epiphany (maybe that should be Epifani?) moments last night too. Playing my Fender P bass through the Shuttle 6 and UL212 with a powered foldback monitor running off the amp. Wow!! Makes me wonder what the Hell I've been wasting my time with over the last few years. The sound was the sound I've been looking for all this time and probably had, but just not been able to hear it myself. We've got a new drummer who is amazing and I think that makes a huge difference as well. -
Especially for all the Express and Mail readers

I simply don't care for anything other than me and my family. The sooner everyone adopts this attitude, the sooner the world will be a better place -
Just a quick note to say that Rich's 310 is Nick's old one as he sold it to me (but it wouldn't fit in the boot of my new car!). Rich - Nick is a great guy, solid as a rock & keeps his gear in immaculate condition, definitely a 'buy with confidence' guy Nick - the deal I did with Rich was a smooth as could it possibly have been, another very nice chap & super easy to deal with Ok - that's it, my matchmaking days are over now
If ever the Advertising business doesn't pay your mortgage Barrie, I reckon you could be the next Cilla Black!

Thanks for the Bump mate

Watford - The Flag (Easter Saturday 11/04/09)
Old Horse Murphy replied to orangepeelneil's topic in Gigs
Hello Everyone, We making the mammoth Journey (with all our kit) from Bristol to Watford, to headline a gig at the Flag in Watford on easter Saturday (11/04/09) http://www.lemonrock.com/flag Anyone in area who like a bit of rock'n' Soul come in, have a pint and say hello We've no idea about the venue? It was recommended and there's a...diverse lineup. Cheers Neil www.myspace.com/thesoulvents
We played there 3 weeks ago after a break of nearly 4 years. It's changed a lot but you'll get a good and pretty knowledgable crowd. It used to be a Firkin pub years ago and developed a good reputation as a music pub. The good news is it's all on 1 level too and there's loads of carparking round the back. Good luck and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. -
I've managed to get hold of a new cab, so this one is now for sale. Immaculate condition (apart from a tiny 10mm bit of paint wear on the grille (pictured) and sounds wonderful (I just prefer 10's to 12's): £600 to you, but it will be going on to Ebay for a bit more too Comes with a custom made padded cover that cost me £45.

My New Tony Franklin Fretless P - Videos and Pics
Old Horse Murphy replied to wateroftyne's topic in General Discussion
Not sure if you want to hear it Michael, but I actually prefer the sound of the Franklin. I didn't think I would but it just has more growl which is what I go for. -
I bought Will's Korg DTR2000. Service, product and comms were all top class and I'd highly recommend him to anyone. Thanks Will

Pete just bought a Boss TU2 Tuner off me and picked it up on the way to a gig. Nice guy (made friends with my dog) and highly recommended Watch out for the Guinness Pete!

Lee recently bought my Radial Bigshot and it couldn't have gone to a nicer guy. Superb comms, fast payment and a thoroughly decent guy as well. What more do you want? Thanks Lee- hope you keep in touch
I bought a couple of those from them took ages to arrive and for me they didn't have enough padding (I put some socks on them ) but they don't open wide enough either.
It took me ages to work out what you were talking about Wayne. I guess having a filthy mind doesn't help either
