1. Multicomp now Sold!! Bigshot still available
 2. I have 2 pedals for sale: EBS Multicomp- a fantastic pedal in great condition (the box is a bit tatty)- Now Sold!! Radial BigShot i/o input selector. This allows two basses to share a common input, so no more swapping leads during a gig. It also allows you to set independent volumes for each bass too (ideal for passive and active basses to share). Excellent condition, but no box or manual (I can supply a PDF manual though)- £55 plus £4 P&P Here's the link to the Radial website with more spec: http://www.radialeng.com/pr-radial-bigshot-io.htm I am also selling my Boss TU2 pedal, again in excellent condition with box and manual- £45 plus £4 P&P Thanks for looking
 3.
Over a year ago my last band, "Second Time Around", foundered. Some of the former members tried to get a new venture off-the-ground but it had its problems. I had a year off to spend more time with my family. Out of the ashes has risen a new "Second Time Around" with three of the original members plus a new drummer and cracking young lady singer. Interestingly one of the guitarists is our own "Sixshooter" who also dabbles on the dark side when not spanking his various Precisions in another band. First gig is this Saturday, 4th April at the Astolat in Guildford. Time to use the Orange/Bergantino for real.
Well done Dave.I look forward to seeing you and Steve when you play again in Knaphill. So has Jill and her bum parted ways? That probably sounds a lot ruder than I intended it to, but I'll leave it unedited for now
 4.
suprised this hasn't gone yet mate, bump for a top bloke
Thanks Steve. Are you sure I can't tempt you with an addition to your Lakkie collection?!
 5.
Can't you just put your pedals behind you right next to your amp? Lots of bassists do that.
I'm considering that too, or mounting them on a rack tray. To be honest though, I have enough bloody cables and wires as it is, so it would be quite nice to tidy up a bit too. Thanks for the feedback so far
 6. For the second time in about a month I found myself physically threatening someone in the crowd to move back before they spilt their pint all over my floor pedals. Fortunately he heeded the warning, but I think it's only a matter of time before everything gets covered in beer. I don't have too many pedals (a Radial Bigshot splitter, Boss TU2 Tuner and an EBS multicomp), but I'm considering bunging everything in a rack. Does anyone have any recommendations for rack mounted compressors of a similar standard to the EBS? I'm not looking to pay a fortune, but some ideas would be much appreciated.
 7.
Nice blue tinge there!
I think it was the London Pride
 8. Very nice Colin... I sold this as I was having trouble hearing the P Bass thump. I replaced it with a (guess what?)..............another P bass that I used to own. One day I'll learn I'm currently running a 1 x 10 powered foldback monitor out of the back on my Shuttle 6 and guess what? It works; I can hear!!! This has one of the nicest necks I've played and I'm glad it's gone to a good home. And here's a money shot of it being played by some thug (not Colin I hasten to add)
 9. I've just taken delivery of Jono's (my old) Fender US P Bass. It's in even better condition than described and I'm delighted to have it back Fantastic service, excellent comms and a super-fast delivery. Jono even changed his shift pattern so the courier could pick the bass up earlier. That's service for you A top guy and highly recommended. Cheers Jono
 10. This is gorgeous Tony. I've been hankering after one of these for ages. Good luck with the sale
 11.
Isn´t an SR5 about twice the price of a skyline ??
Paid £830 for this including the new electrics. Seen SR5's go for a similar value on here, but I appreciate your helpful comments anyway.
 12.
Thanks OHM. I have just checked them out on Google, but can't find any UK stockists for an idea of price. Where are you getting them from? Any other ideas appreciated.
It might be worth dropping Jon Shuker a line as he gets them in direct from Delano. I really want a set of Fralins, but unfortunately like Wizard they don't do a 5 string P pickup
 13. Try Delano's mate. I've currently got an EMG P and J setup in my 5 string P bass, but I want to switch to Passives. I think Delano's are theway I'm heading. Mind you, if you want to go active, I may have a set of EMG's for sale soon........
 14.
MB1. Theres a naked bloke with a camera reflected in the Stingrays control knobs? BUMP!
Don't you mean BUM?
 15.
Cheers Chris. Something small and graphity Josh
"Streamlining" your collection eh Mart? Mart is a lovely guy and very easy to deal with. The P bass is also a fantastic instrument and once long ago belonged to me. Good luck Mart
 16. That is going to be gorgeous and I'm a huge fan of blue basses too. Well done. I wish I had the talent to do this.
 17.
You may may want to edit your thread header. It says £29....
Well spotted........phew
 18.
I know it's not exactly what you're looking for but it could well do the job. I've got a Giffin Q7, which does a great Tele and Strat sound, plus more raunchy P90-type tones. By far the best guitar I've ever played, which is why I have kept it. Here's a picture of Andy Summers playing the very one I have: http://www.giffinguitars.com/client_list.htm. I quite fancy swapping it for the Stingray. As it's such a rare guitar, I'd be happy to let you have it on trial. I've also got the original (rave) review from Guitarist magazine if you'd like to see it. Have I told the story about the time I walked into Roger Giffin's workshop and he had Hank Marvin's red Strat on the bench? Yes, that one! I actually picked it up. Hank had taken it in to a repairer on Denmark Street, who had made a real mess of it. I couldn't believe it! That repairer is still in business, and quite well known, but my lips are sealed as to his identity.
I wish I had a Stingray to trade..........
 19.
That closet classic jazz is mine now - I'm sooo glad Rich, and then Nick let it go!!
It couldn't have gone to a nicer guy Col. As much as I still love the Ric I do regret trading the Jazz. Always the way with me
 20. Wow! Rich you have some stunning basses. BUMP for Rich- a top guy to deal with and a true gent
 21.
It's moments like that that makes it all worth while.
I was walking on air for days after...
 22. Not so much a review; more of a celebrity endorsement. At the last gig we played in Ealing, my mate spotted Geoff "Poison" Pearce from London's Burning at the bar. Geoff's mate walked in and said "What are the band like?" Geoff said "Not bad actually" It's going in to our next Promo pack
 23. I think one of the Fender Stu Hamm or Urge or something basses had a JPJ configuration
 24.
Hi Nick - is this really loud enough to gig with? What size room are we talking?
Hi Al Officially it pushes out 100W, but I certainly think it goes louder than that. The day I got it I took it to a rehearsal we had in a local rugby club and it was absolutely fine up against 2 150w guitar amps and PA. The reason I bought it was because I saw a guy play through one at my local pub and was really impressed with the sound. There were about 50 or so people in the pub which wasn't a huge place, but it was a reasonable size. It was plenty loud enough there and it cut through really well. There's a couple of reviews on Harmony-Central too where a few guys use these in Blues bands and Church bands with no issue at all either.
