I've just taken possession of Clarky's Epifani UL115 and it's a decent bit of kit. Hopefully I'll get a chance to crank it up tonight!! Cheers Clarky- a really nice guy to deal with.
It's mine! First sale (which had pipped my offer to the post) fell through so I got to go and meet Nick, talk bass and come away with a shiny red Stagg EUB. It looks exactly the same shade of red as the Hohner B2A I sold earlier this month, which provided a good chunk of the finances... I'm obviously meant to have a red bass in my collection at all times. Thanks Nick! Wulf
And it couldn't have gone to a better home. Really nice to meet you Wulf and great to talk bass too with someone so knowledgable. Cheers Nick
Hi Marion- nice to have some American ladies on here. Tell us a bit about yourself Ha Ha! Check out my post and read very carefully! Wrong gender. Cheers, Doug
Sorry Doug- couldn't resist Glad to see there's another Marillion fan around. Pete's playing is one of the reasons I started learning bass
I'm having an Epifani moment oh no, wait. Don't suppose you've got any Bergs have you?
What do you think this is? An Iceland commercial? Only Epifani's here John. Freshly picked and frozen immediately to keep them just right.
MB1. Hi Nick! Old Horse Strikes Again! Nice Combo!.....its even got a space for your buttys!
Hi Martin- yep, this was too good to pass up (especially the sandwich holder). I've just sold my Little Mark head, so the Epifani UL310, Korg Tuner and Aural Exciter (stop it) have to find new homes soon.

I've used a Mark Bass LittleMark (2 channel model which is fantastic) with both Schroeder (21012L) and Epifani Cabs (UL 310) and both combinations sounded amazing. I also tried the head with a couple of Markbass cabs and although they sounded good, I favoured the Schroeder and Epifani by miles. I personally preferred the LMK with the Epifani as I found the sound had more clarity and definition. They have enough power too to cove rmost situations but also weighed probably the same (if not less) than most decent combos out there.

Well, I said I'd have a spur of the moment sale if my band decided to split, so here it is!! - Epifani UL 310 cab complete with heavy duty protective cover. This is less than 2 months old and cost over £800. 1 or 2 minor scuffs on the feet but other than that, it's as new and hasn't been pushed hard at all (used in anger no more than 4 times). This is the best cab I've owned- £610. Epifani site here: http://www.epifani.com/products/concert310.php - Aphex 204 Aural Exciter with optical Big Bottom (basically the rack mounted version of the Aphex Bass Exciter pedal only more!!) Make your rig go BOOM!! - as new- £100.00 Aphex site here: http://www.aphex.com/204.htm I will consider posting the Aphex unit but don't really want to send the Cab. Anyway, please PM me if you're interested in any of the above. Thanks for looking
Nick, why not go and put that question on the Ernie Ball Forum. There are a lot of US players who swear by flats on Stingrays. If you want to borrow a set of TIs to try .....
Good idea- thanks Dave. I might veyr well take you up on your offer too Now, what's my password again for the EB forum?....

I'm thinking of putting a set of Flatwound strings on my Stingray. Has anyone else done this and if so, what does it do to the classic Ray sound? I'd be intrigued to find out......very intrigued.....
