3. I really think this Forum needs to lighten up a little. It's really hard work some days. Just my opinion, but there you go.

 8. Yeah, like this one...the Duvet is an optional extra
 9. Welcome Charlie. I've got a feeling I've seen Suki's Wish in Winchester a while back. I could be wrong though...it was a heavy night!
 10.
On this occassion Nick I'm really pleased that I don't own anything that I can tempt you with.
So am I Mart!!

 13. Thanks for all the offers of trades. I'm really looking to sell this, as I have too many basses as it is.
 14.
Cheers OHM, Plan to get a black one for the Lakland too. Not really digging the white one at the mo.
There were some posts a while back with Black/maple DJ's with various colour pickguards. I agree with you though, black would look fantastic.
 15. I love that Jazz- black pickguard on Sunburst works for me!
 16.
Gong to get a Jazz in a month or so, and was considering a highway 1. Just branching out my search, I realise the 'proper' Laklands are a bit special, but what about the Skyline series? Are they more Epiphone than Gibson? (Was going to use the Squier analogy, but the Vintage reissues are quite nice ). Anything else to look for apart from CIJ (got a CIJ P which is ace). G&L maybe? Budget is £600 to £800 max.
Quality is excellent- as good as anything else I've owned (if not better). You really won't be disappointed if you buy a Lakland.
 17.
Hey Nick, ...how come you have a conservatory exactly the same as mine? :-) Good luck with the sale... guys, this is a great bass - snap his arm off (you get to meet Holly the were-hound too!) Shaun
Thanks to Shaun for one of the pictures....ahem
 18.
Hi there, what does it weigh? Bathroom scale measurement is fine
It comes in at just about 8lbs. It feels lighter though
 19.
Dammit Nick - why couldn't you have sold this before I bought the DJ5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S - how does it compare with the MIA P you sold me - is it worth Gassing over?
If only I'd known Mart!! It compares very favourably with the P Bass you bought off me. A very different sound (more middy and louder to my ears) and the neck is to die for!! It doesn't feel as substantial as the Fender but is exceptionally well-made. I think you'd love it!! Sorry
 20. I'm selling a mint condition Lakland Bob Glaub with original Lakland case. I've currently got 2 Fender Precisions which I play all the time and basically, the BG isn't getting as much of a look in as it deserves. This bass is absolutely mint. It comes with both black and white pickguards and an original Lakland case (there is a dent in one corner of the case, but it is perfectly usable and comes with all the original candy). It's the Lakland Skyline model and comes with a Lindy Fralin pickup. Construction quality is top drawer and the bass sounds amazing. In my opinion, this colour scheme is the best combination and the satin maple neck is one of the nicest I've played. The decision to sell this is a very difficult one, but the Fenders are keepers, so I'm afraid the BG is up for sale. I'm looking for £650 plus delivery, but I'm willing to travel a fair distance to meet half-way. Please PM me if you have any questions or would like any specific photos taken and thanks for looking.
 21.
I`ve got 69 but the neck pocket`s more like a 79.....
LOL!! I bet you looked over your shoulder several times while typing that. Try explaining that one away....
 22. Funnily enough, I picked up a '73 model in Carmarthen. Lots of MOJO but I love her!!
