1. Small Stone and Big Muff pii have now been sold. That just leaves the Dr Q Nano....anyone?
2.
MB1. "You are GOLD.......GOLD.......,always believe in your soul, youve got the power to know, your indestructable!...... Always believe it! Well and truly SPANDO........D!
I wondered when you'd show up....
3. Well, it's arrived at work today but I've not had a chance to inspect it yet!! I'll let you know how I get on tonight.
4. Just out of interest (and certainly not trying to teach you to suck eggs) I get the same sort of sound from my amp when the batteries on my bass (Stingray) are dead or dying. I only mentioned it because it took me hours to work that one out and I was convinced it was the amp.
5. Little Big Muff now sold, but I still have a Big Muff pii, Small Stone Phaser and a Nano Dr Q for sale. All boxed and is As New condition. I'll offer these at £25 each plus £4 P&P if anyone's interested.
6.
Phew!! Glad to hear that
Tony For your own health, I'd avoid reading ANYTHING on this Forum that has Ashdown in the Title!!
7. Thanks mate- I think the new colour tones the gold down a bit and it blends in quite well. I should have it back tomorrow/Wednesday, so I'm looking forward to trying it out!!
8. Owned and played Ashdown happily for a number of years. Never had any reliability issues and really like the sound too. All subjective I guess, but if it was as bad as everyone says it is, I'd argue that you wouldn't see it on as many concert stages around the world as you do.
9.
The only reason you like it was that you could see Gill's backside reflected in it when she was wiggling.
Unfortunately, everything you said was true. Am I really that transparent? Yep...
10.
Maple neck with blocks is a standard option. Both my DJ4 and DJ5 are maple with blocks. I'm going to get a black pg now.
I liked the Phil Lynott look Dave!!
11. Finished!! Rich sent me photos this evening and I think it looks fanastic. I take delivery this week sometime. A refinish (custom colour), rebuild, wiring in the new pre amp, setup with new strings, a new ABS case and delivery (fully insured) for £271. I'd say that was an excellent deal and if it looks as good in the flesh, I'm a happy man. I hope you like it. Will it replace my Teal SR4 as my number 1 bass? Only time will tell...
12.
hey old horse... my MIA pbass is still up for sale if you are interested? link here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=5265 andy
Hi ANdy It's a lovely looking P-Bass and I'd definitely be interested, but I need to sell my MM5 String first.
13. Lovely. Really lovely. The J-Retro really sets it off too.
14. Is it wrong to Bump myself? Nobody's looking, so............BUMP Price now reduced, but please also see my list of possible trades and thanks for the interest so far....
15. I'll swap you for our Drummer.....
16. It must be costing him a fortune to relist it consistently. I rekcon if he totted up the fees etc he's spent so far, he might be able to buy another bass from Tuneomatic.....maybe a P-Bass to match his Jazz.
17. I've just emailed him to ask how many strings it has......my wife would be sooo proud of me
18.
OHM, while I have continual GAS, this is the most comfortable P Bass I have ever played. It would be nice if there was a little switch that could make it sound like a MM if and when I felt like it but ces't la vie. It's deffo a keeper. Do all MIA 2004ish P basses feel like this one?
Mart- it's the best P-Bass I've ever played (damn!!) I'm glad you still like it mate
19.
Damn, I waited around months for one of these in this condition......gave up in the end and blew my GAS cash on OHM's US Precision.....Damn.
If you fancy moving the P-Bass on, can I have first refusal?!!
20. Just bought an Aphex Punch Factory off of Magnolia (not his real name) Great Pedal and great service- thanks mate. Highly recommended
21.
MB1. The golden age of wireless....Thomas Dolby.....thats a wierd one, isnt it now called a radio?......god!, i must get this cave redecorated!
I don't know if it's wireless or radio actually. Radio makes me think of Spinal Tap picking up the police frequency while on stage...
