I must say, you've handled this whole thing with a lot more calmness and pragmatism than I would have. Fair play to you for staying level-headed and objective about the whole thing. Thst said, I'd imagine you've written and deleted many posts several times before hitting reply! I'm glad it all worked out as well as it could have for you and (save some understandable disappointment) you've walked away relatively unscathed and not out of pocket

I'm sure there was a chap on here a while who disappeared/got banned who had one of these. IIRC he was very aggressive/combative and basically insisted that his bass was the pinnacle of what a bass could be, despite the fact it looked like a teenager trying to grow his first moustache. There was no other game in town according to him. I'd like to think this one advertised on EBay is his

For sale is a super 2017 Japanese Sadowsky RV5 Metroline Bass in superb condition. It's in an vintage Olympic White finish and is very creamy, complete with a tortoise shell pickguard. It plays and sounds superb with a lovely low action. These Japanese Sadowskys are brilliant instruments and now discontinued. Sadly due to a band break up it's not getting used at all. It will be supplied with a great Reunion Blues gigbag that would set you back over £150 on its own. I'm looking for £1,800 plus £20 postage. No trades thanks unless anyone has a Gibson J-45 or Custom Shop Tele they want to offer up. I'd consider a px on a lightweight Fender US Jazz Bass in excellent condition or an 80's 2EQ Stingray with the balance in cash my way. Specs: Sadowsky Metro Line RV5 - 21 fret standard bass, Made in Japan Colour: Olympic White Body: Alder Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Morado Frets: 21 Nut Width: 1 7/8 inches Spacing at bridge: 19mm Scale: 34 inches Pickups: Sadowsky Preamp: Sadowsky 2 band - Volume, Pickup Blend/Pan, VTC Tone control (push/pull active-passive), Stacked Treble & Bass boost Pickguard: Tortoiseshell Weight: 8.5 lbs

I'd keep it. It all adds to the character. As my builder mate says, if you want perfection, don't choose wood.

Regardless of colour (I love that blue BTW) if you get a good one, these new Professional II Fenders are super instruments. I absolutely love my P Bass.

I've got one of these new Pro II P Basses and they're fab. Happy Anniversary and Happy NBD. Just think too, if ever you forget the date of your Wedding Anniversary, just think to yourself "now, when did I get that P Bass?" Sorted

The incorrigible Mr Clark! That's a lovely bass mate

It's the neck from my Fender Japan Fretless Jazz. It's the best fretless neck I've played but I struggle with the ergonomics of Jazz Bass bodies

And finally finished. I had a hairy moment after installing the EMG wiring harness where the bridge pickup was dead but after a bit of trial and error I realised I'd forgotten to connect the wires at the back of the pickup itself. I also managed to completely strip the four pickup screws on the bridge pickup by using the wrong sized screwdriver but being too eager (lazy) to retrieve the right one, so I need to order some more replacements. Other than that and for once, one of my builds has turned out better than I anticipated and pretty-much problem free.

I still think about Vic a lot, bless him. I used to love popping along to Bass Gear to see you all. Happy Days

😲. Bass Gear 2, The Revenge of Molan?

Very nice Barrie and very understated compared to some of your other basses! 😉 Hope you're keeping well
