  1. **SOLD**For sale are 3 Hercules Mini guitar stands in superb condition (no boxes though). These are the GS402B model. I'm selling all 3 together rather than split them out for £50 inc postage. **SOLD** **SOLD** Also for sale is a Hercules IPad/Tablet holder to be connected to the microphone stand. It fits tablets between 7-12.1" and comes complete with original packaging. Yours for £30 inc postage. **SOLD**
  2. For sale is a super condition Quiklok GS450 5 Guitar/Bass Rack, ideally suited for storing 5 guitars safely and tidily. According to the manufacturer's description: Lower cradles designed to hold either acoustic or electric guitars firmly in place and soft rubberized cushioning protects guitars from scratches and will not mar finish. Rear locking pin allows to quickly set the stand in perfect open position and fold it down to a convenient portable size for transport without need for tools. Equipped with casters for easy mobility. Quiklok GS/450 - 5 Guitar Rack Stand specification: Set-up depth: 42.5 cm (16.7") Set-up width: 83 cm (32.7") Set-up height: 79.5 cm (31.3") Cradle depth opening: 13 cm (5.1") Weight: 6.2 kg (13.7 lb) Colour: Black One of the rack spaces has additional covering supplied with the rack to protect vintage nitro finishes. For safety's sake as with any manufacturers' stands, I cannot confirm with any confidence whether the other rack spaces would be safe with nitro finishes. Nonetheless it's an excellent piece of kit and very sturdy. These retail at over £99 new. This one is as good as new and is considerably less. I'd rather this was picked up or a meet somewhere because it's rather large, even when collapsed but I am happy to post for an additional £10. Yours for £65 plus postage. I'll put more photos up shortly but this is what it looks like.
  3. Very nice. Here are mine: Trevor James Signature Custom Raw Alto and Tenor (sublime instruments) and my much loved Mauriat Baritone and Soprano:
  4. I just sold Robert a Stingray in an overall excellent and hassle-free deal. Highly recommended
  5. Choppers were a little bit before my time but I wondered where the "Chopper Blue" moniker came from. Spot on 😂
  6. Thanks chaps. This really is a stunner, but I have two of them and they're criminally under-used given the current circumstances. I'd be happy to listen to near offers.
  7. Thanks. I've always loved Takamines and find that their pickups and preamps work superbly live. Trouble is, I'm having a serious love affair with a Gibson J45 and it's proving to be expensive!
  8. For sale is a superb Takamine EF261SAN Electro-Acoustic Guitar plus original case. Both are in super condition with only superficial markings. It has a lovely action and there is plenty of life left in the frets. The electrics sound wonderful and deep, with plenty of adjustment through the onboard Eq in the CT4B II preamp. This is a top of the range pro series Takamine hand crafted in Japan. The body size is close to a Grand Concert, so fits really comfortably on a strap without feeling unwieldy. The top is solid cedar and the back and sides are mahogany. The fingerboard is rosewood. This really is a wonderful clean guitar that needs to be played. Yours for £520 plus £20 postage.
  9. Thanks for the offers. Unfortunately, I'm not looking for trades at the moment.
  10. Well, I have two of these and with the complete hiatus on gigs currently, one has to go. For sale is a stunning 2019/20 Music Man Stingray Special 5 String In Chopper Blue. It comes with the original case and accessories and is in immaculate condition. This is one of the new Stingray Specials with 18v electronics, roasted maple neck (with rosewood fingerboard) and weighs in at only 9lbs 2oz. These retail at over £2,000 new. This one is in mint condition and offers a decent saving. Im looking for £1,400 plus £30 delivery.
  11. I had an awful experience with the Bax/Hermes comedy act too. The guitar was damaged in transit so I contacted Bax Music and heard precisely nothing for about three days. I called and was told the phone number was not in use and even contacted them via Facebook which is another story. Eventually I managed to get it RMA'd but it's really out me off using them again.
  12. Here's a chance to save yourself a bit of money if you're looking to buy something at Guitarguitar any time soon. I have a £150 giftcard that I really don't want/need as there's no way I'd only spend £150.... Yours for £140 delivered by recorded delivery.
  13. Hmmm, looks more like a Gundolin than an a Mandotar to me.... Well done
  14. I had exactly the same problem and like you, I really wanted to try one again as I've been recruited by an 80's covers band where the B string is very useful. I ended up going for the new Stingray Specials as I love the look and find them very playable (the new electronics and the new weight profiles make things a heck of a lot easier). For me the secret was to effectively lock my 4 string comfort blankets away and just persevere. It took a while and every so often I thought "hmmm, I'd feel a lot better playing a 4 stringer and try and transpose everything" but for once I stuck at it and now actually find 5's more familiar than 4's.
  15. Wow. That's a rare find...Paul Weller smiling
  16. Jeez, the price. Imagine how much he'd charge for one in good condition...
  17. I'm looking to put Flats on one of my Stingray 5 Strings and am wondering what other folk are using? I really don't like D'Addario Chromes (too high tension) but am interested to see what other suggestions they are which don't make the B string too floppy or too "off" in terms of intonation, especially further up the neck. Any ideas at all?
  18. You sound like you're spoiling for a fight. If so, you may be better off on Talkbass.
  19. I've been asked a number of times about trades and while I'm good for basses, I'd consider an American Original Tele or Jazzmaster in similar condition to this bass. I'm not looking for anything else thanks
