I’ve been asked a few times about trades. Although I’d prefer a Sale, I may consider a good condition lightweight, US Fender Jazz with rosewood neck, maybe a Geddy Lee, Fender Flea Jazz or a Jack Casady with cash my way.
I know what you mean. I just got hold of a US Standard P Bass that feels virtually identical to my number one bass and as I’m a bit of a creature of habit it has become my back up.
The Nate is a much better bass overall but, well, you know how it is...
For sale is a gorgeous 2016 Fender Nate Mendel P Bass with original Fender gigbag and all case candy (including the Foo Fighters Neckplate). The bass is in the same condition as it left the factory in. It sounds wonderful with the Quarterpounder pickup and is pokey to say the very least!
Weight-wise it's a tad under 9lbs by my reckoning.
Also included is a white Fender 62 Reissue pickguard that I had fitted previously and a thumbrest. All the original fittings will be supplied

After much consideration:
- Anything that’s not a P Bass (seriously, why did I bother? The fortune I could have saved...)
- Rotosounds
- Heavy amps and cabs
- DB’s or EUB’s
- Rickenbackers
They’re not the most interesting lot to look at live 😀 but for me, Three Imaginary Boys, Boys Don’t Cry, Shake Dog Shake and Robert Smith’s Bass VI solo on Faith are stand out tracks in this film. I get goosebumps just thinking about them ☺️
I used to go to school with their manager’s daughter so got to see them numerous times and still love them.
Disintengration is my favourite album but if you can find it, take a look at The Cure in Orange. It’s a filmed concert they did in the late 80’s and well worth a watch
I have just sold Wil my (now his) Fender Jazz in what was a totally hassle-free deal and I'm delighted to be able to start his feedback thread.
Highly recommended
For Sale is a 2011/12 Music Man Classic Stingray 2eq 4 String including the original case. It's in a lovely Tobaccoburst with a gorgeous maple neck (the figuring is wonderful).
Unlike many of these Classic Rays, this one weighs around 9lbs, so is very comfortable. It's been string with a new set of TI flats and has a lovely low action.
Condition is very good but there is a paint chip in between the top horn and the pickguard (pictured with better Ines to follow) and there is a very small chip on the back of the neck around the 10th fret. The chrome has been given a good clean since the photos were taken and it has come up really well. There are a few polishing swirls made look a lot worse by my camera flash.
