  1. Bump for BIG PRICE DROP for this weekend only Yours for £1,500- that's £1,000 saving on a brand new one
  2. I know what you mean. I've never looked twice at a Warwick before (apart from the Starbass) String spacing is 16.5mm and even with my bad hand, is the most comfortable 5er I've played. Here are the specs: MAKE: Warwick MODEL: Streamer CV5 (German Pro-Series) ORIGIN: Germany BODY WOOD(S): Swamp Ash COLOUR/FINISH: Natural, satin finish NECK/SCALE LENGTH: Maple, satin finish bolt-on neck, 34″ scale, 16.5mm string spacing FINGERBOARD: Rosewood, 21 jumbo nickel frets, dot inlays WIDTH AT NUT/12TH FRET: 45mm/61mm ELECTRONICS: 2x MEC passive J style single coil Alnico 5 pickups. Controls: Volume/Volume/treble/bass HARDWARE: Warwick chrome: 2 piece bridge, modern lightweight tuners and straplocks
  3. For sale is a 2 week old Warwick Streamer Pro Series CV5 (team built in Germany) complete with fitted Warwick gigbag and all the tools (including straplocks). It has been set up by Hardy's Music in Bristol and is strung with a new set of DR Sunbeams. It also comes with a brand new set of La Bekka Deep Talkin' Flats that cost £47. These have satin finishes and I reckon this one is less than 9lbs in weight. It is passive and sounds wonderful. In fact, it's the best 5 string bass I've ever played but unfortunately old injuries still hamper me when playing 5 strings These retail at £1,479 (check out the identical one in the Great British Bass Lounge). Mine is absolutely spotless, virtually unplayed and considerably less at £850 plus postage.
  4. I sold Norm a strap in a totally hassle-free deal. Highly recommended
  5. For sale is a superb Mono M80 2B Gigbag for carrying 2 Basses. These are superb gigbags and mine is in super condition apart from a few scuffs on the rubber pad at the bottom and a bit of wear/perishing on the rubber edges protecting the binding on the side. It's never been abused or used particularly often. These sell brand new for £209. Mine is for sale at £150 posted or £140 picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays). 6. I've recently picked up a gorgeous Warwick Starbass Pro Series 34" scale and am wondering which Flatwounds would fit. It has the typical Warwick style 2 piece bridge and I have found that a few sets of strings I've tried aren't quite long enough as the cotton winding at the string ends does not quite clear the nut. Any recommendations at all?
  7. Bump for final price drop .Need this gone but won't go any lower on price .
  8. Not sure about this but I want to get hold of a Fender Custom Shop P Bass (either 51, 54 or post-58 style) or a lightweight 70's P Bass for a new project. In order to fund it, I am putting up my recently acquired Mike Lull PJ4. It's a December 13 model in a gorgeous Brownburst finish with matching headstock ($200 cost option) and comes with certificate and Mike Lull branded Protec Contego gigbag. It weighs 8lbs and the Fralin pickups sound wonderful. It's just been set up and strung with TI Flats and the action is low and very fast. The body is Alder. The bass is in superb condition but does have some buckle rash (although not through the lacquer and difficult to photograph). Other than that, it's in super nick overall. These Lull basses are something else and if I could afford to hold on to it I most certainly would. Brand new this would be in excess of £2,500. I'm looking for £1,500 plus postage.
