1. Would consider trades for a Stingray 5 in good condition and lightweight but would need £900 cash too
  2. New sealed copy of Ed's superb Upright Bass DVD. Yours for £8 inc. P&P
  3. Check this out: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/278059-rare-usa-lakland-55-76-stingray-5/ Ticks a number of the boxes but not thru neck
  4. I bought a Pedal off Rich recently in a totally hassle-free deal. Highly recommended indeed
  5. For sale is an Aguilar Tonehammer Pedal with Aguilar 18v power supply (with UK and Euro plug). It's in great condition (a tiny scuff on one side and Velcro on the bottom) and comes with original boxes. Yours for £125 delivered
  6. I recently sold Vic a Bass bit in a totally hassle-free deal. Great comms throughout and a super guy to deal with
  7. For sale is a Musicman Stingray hard case. It is a bit tatty and has one crack in it which should be relatively easy to repair with a heat gun or glue (pictured). The retaining straps to stop the lid falling flat when opened also need to be reattached (glue again) but I think I've priced it accordingly. Other than these issues it's fine and dandy. It can be picked up from either Bristol (weekdays) or Woking (weekends). Yours for £45.
  8. Late feedback alert! Davie bought some strings from me a while ago in a totally hassle-free deal. A lovely guy and highly recommended
  9. For sale is a brand new in box BBE Freq Treble boost pedal complete with 9v power supply (US plug so will need an adaptor). I bough this years ago and forgot about it. It's the closest thing you'll get to the original boost used by Rory Gallagher, Brian May etc. and was based on the 60's treble boost pedals for soloing etc. No longer available so a rare chance to buy one in new condition. Spec: In the days before purpose-built high-gain amps, players used boosters to drive their tubes harder. The single op-amp Freq Boost is patterned after treble boosters of yore and is effective at pushing the front end of a tube amp. Unlike the Clean Boost, the Freq Boost adds presence to the tone by pushing the highs. This was evident when I used the pedal in front of a tube amp on the brink of distortion. With the Freq Boost's volume control set at 12 o'clock, the pedal produced minimal gain but delivered more detail and punch from the guitar, giving the tone a nice, bluesy edge. Pushing the pedal harder produced a dark, driven crunch sound that was great for lead playing. No matter where I set its volume control, the Freq Boost brought my tone out front without making it too harsh. If you have a good tube amp and want to kick it harder, this pedal is a must. I'm looking for £50 inc postage

  11. Love it. I think that's the best looking bass on here at the moment Very jealous
  12. For trade is a transitional period 73/4 P bass that looks like it has hardly been played - with a dead straight neck that plays with a low action right the way up the neck - and growls like only a P bass can. Weighing in at just over 8.1lbs and with just one or two dings and dongs, this is a terrific bass. A couple of pieces of wiring have been changed and the original pickups have been given additional copper shielding for better noise cancellation when playing live and it has a Brass nut fitted too (currently strung with DR Sunbeams) and includes the bridge and pickup covers. There is no case though. This was sourced through a very reliable and highly regarded Basschatter. Given his expertise on all things Fender, I am as confident of the provenance and description of this bass as I can be. I'm looking for £1,750 and don't think you'd find a cleaner version of this vintage. I'm willing to post for cost but the Bass can also be picked up from Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays). 13. I've been lucky enough to play this. It's even better in the flesh
  14. For sale is a 2012 US-made Martin OM-1GT Acoustic Guitar plus Martin Case. The Guitar is unused and still has the cellophane over the pickguard. The case has a few storage marks on it t is intact with no rips or tears. It really is a superb guitar and a proper Martin. It can be picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays) or posted for cost. I'm looking for £625 for what is basically an unused immaculate guitar. I would consider trades for a a Fender US Jazz with rosewood neck, or a late 80's/early 90's 2 eq Stingray or possibly a lightweight bass head and cab
  15. Thanks for the PM's so far. I'm not really looking for trades but may consider a decent lightweight amp as a P/X with the balance in cash or possibly a late 80's/early 90's 2eq Stingray with some cash my way too

  17. For sale is my recently acquired Fender USA Geddy Lee Jazz Bass I bought from PMT Music in Bristol (Feb this year). It comes complete with the Fender moulded case (new style TSA approved), hang tags and all the case Candy. I have fitted a proper Badass II to it instead of the Fender Badass-inspired bridge fitted as standard (original bridge not included as I no longer have it). It it also strung with TI Flats and has a lovely low action. The Fender Geddy Lee pickups sound superb too and this is easily the best sounding Jazz I've played. Weight-wise it's approximately 9lbs and condition is super with no knocks or dings (there are a few very faint marks on the back but difficult to photograph and pretty standard on a black bass- nothing through the finish though and very light). My gigging is currently down to about a gig a month, so although I don't want to move this on, it hasn't even been out of the house. I'm looking for £1,250 picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays). It can be posted at the buyer's expense. These retail at over £1,650 if you can get hold of one. Here are the specs:

Geddy Lee (Rush) Signature Model
Body: Alder
Neck: Maple
Neck profile: Custom thick "C"
Fretboard: Maple
Pearloid dot inlays
9.5" Radius
20 Medium jumbo frets
Scale: 34" (Long thomann scale)
Pickups: 2x Custom Voiced American Vintage '70s Geddy Lee single coils
2 Volume controls
1 Master tone control
Hardware: Nickel/Chrome
Comes with the following strings: Fender 7250M .045 -.105 (Art Nr142933)
Colour: Black
Incl. Case
Made in USA
