1. My 73 P Bass. Super condition, low action and weighs just over 8lbs
2. I've been completely inundated with offers and pm's sonthanks very much. I've also been pm's several times to let me know that I've priced this too low! I've been told I could get double what I had been asking for, but i think that may be a bit too much. Nonetheless, I've revised the price upward somewhat based on some very gratefully received feedback I'll reply to PM's shortly and apologies to those who've shown interest so far
3. For sale is son early 70's (1973) Fender Tolex Bass case. It's structurally sound and in very good condition spat from the handle being fragile and the "F" in "Fender" being missing (as per the photos) That said, for someone who wants a genuine 70's case for a vintage Fender, it ticks the box! I've priced this to sell and want £110 picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays). I could possibly meet up too. 4. A few new arrivals for me. The first is a 1973 Fender P Bass that I recently traded. All original and a gorgeous 8lb 4oz in weight. Virtually mint too Next is a 2015 US Fender Geddy Lee Signature. Easily the best sounding Jazz I've played. I picked it up from PMT in Bristol and despite the usual horrible shop setup it played beautifully and they were able to do me a very good deal indeed
5. For sale is a set of DR Sunbeams Lite Lite 40-95's that I cut and put on my Fender Jazz bass and probably played for 10 minutes (if hat). I'm going back to Flats, so these are for sale. There's no packaging but they're in perfect virtually unused condition. They sell for £28 plus P&P. Mine are £22 inc.
6. From memory it was very light, especially for a Jazz. Probably around 8 and a quarter pounds
7. For sale is a black Mono Betty Strap (adjusts between 40-46"). It's in super condition but has had Schaller strap locks fitted at one stage. These seem to retail at £31 plus postage. I'm looking for £23 inc.
8. I bought a gigbag from Gary in what must have been our umpteenth deal. This one was equally as easy and pleasurable as the rest One of the best Basschatters out there and a lovely guy too
9. For sale is a brand new Fender ABS Bass case for either a P or J Bass. It comes complete with keys and has the TSA approved metal latch locks. The case is literally unused and can be picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays). These retail at around £130. Mine is £70
10. Bump for a great bass and a great seller. This one used to be mine (not a particularly exclusive club!) It's super with a lovely neck and incredibly low action
11. For sale is my TKS Engineering S212 with Tweeter and padded TKS cover that I bought from Bass Gear at the end of December last year. Since then it's not left the house so is in superb condition. Most of my gigs over the last 12 months have been through Front Of House so this hasn't been used for more than an hour at home. That coupled with an impending house move means that it's really just sitting there doing nothing These are 500w at 4 ohms and weigh a lovely 21kgs. It also sounds wonderful and when the time is right I'll purchase another one. It cost me £664 in December and really is immaculate. I'm selling this one for £520 picked up from Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays).
12. Nik was kind enough to lend me his Octave pedal when I needed one for a couple of gigs I had. He even refused to let me cover the postage A top, top man and one of Basschat's very finest
13. I use one of these TC Electronic Cip on tuners with my 5 String Lull. It's absolutely superb and very easy to read too http://www.tcelectronic.com/polytune-clip/
14. Many thanks for the offers, but unfortunately I'm not looking for trades on this one
15. I found them to be very dull sounding (even more than the normal La Bella sound). The tension was great but very thuddy
16. For sale is a virtually new set (2 hour's worth of play) cut for a 3+1 headstock (E.G. Stingray) although they'd suit a 2+2 headstock too. They are packed in the original packaging. Yours for £23 inc postage
17. My second deal with Si and this one was equally as great as the first one. Even better, he's just round the corner Highly recommended but watch out for the killer dog
18. For sale is a recently acquired Fender American P Bass from 1998 in Lake Placid Blue. It's in overall very good condition but has been used, so shows dings and dongs here and there. I've done my best to photograph them. The back of the neck had a number of chips in the lacquer, so I sanded it all down to the wood and then gave it a number of coats of Tru Oil. I must say, I've done quite a good job It's also been strung with a set of Fender roundwounds, new set of D'Addario roundwounds (or can fit a set of Lakland Flats if preferred) and plays and sounds great. I've also fitted an aged 60's style Pickguard and tug bar which cost me in excess of £50 but will also include the original white pickguard too. There is no case but I can purchase a good quality gigbag if someone wants this posted. Weight-wise it's near enough 9lbs, so a nice weight too. The neck and frets are great and it has a lovely action. This is a rare colour now and I think the Tortoise shell pickguard looks great on it I'm looking for £675 and would post for cost. Alternatively it can be picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays). I'm only selling as I've managed to get hold of something I've been keeping my eye out for. No trades please
19. Tim bought a case from me in a totally hassle-free deal Highly recommended
20. For sale is a Fender-branded SKB Case plus keys. It will fit either a Fender P Bass or Jazz bass and is a super piece of kit. It's in super condition apart from a couple of marks on the outer shell (looks like paint marks to me). Structurally it's in super condition. Can either be picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays) for £75 or posted for £82.
