1. That's gorgeous Daniel. Congrats I'd go either Parchment or BWB like my old Shuker PJ which was a similar colour
  2. I've been thinking about trying out the new Ric 4003S for a while now and was very lucky to previously have owned a Ric Chris Squire. I fell in love with the looks and sound, but most important for me, was the contoured body as I always found the slab bodied Rics quite uncomfortable on my forearm. Anyway, a quick trip to Guitar Guitar in Epsom, 2 guitars offered as trade bait and the deal was done I definitely wanted the Mapleglo which was lucky as it was the only one they had in stock Here it is, together with a family shot (my Old US P Bass, American Vintage 64 Jazz FSR, Martin D28 (sorry) and my Lakland Hollowbody which is currently up for sale). I have quite a few gigs suddenly appear in the diary, so hopefully most of these will get used
  3.
I bought a guitar from yer man here. When he says it is mint that is exactly what it will be.
Thanks Owen. I hope you're well
  4.
Yep - stop being a wimp The CN212 is in a different league - Near the top of the premiership vs mid table championship. . .
I agree wholeheartedly with Barrie the Berg is the best cab I've ever owned.
  5. For sale is a Mint condition (absolutely spotless) 2015 Gibson J-35 plus case (born January 14th 2015). I've owned the guitar approximately 8 weeks and it hasn't left the house or even been played for more than an hour. It comes with the Gibson case (also in superb condition), all the paperwork and case candy. The only reason I'm selling this is because I've been given a Martin guitar as a gift and only need one acoustic at the moment- lucky boy I'm looking for £750 and the guitar can be picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays). I could possibly post but would rather a face to face deal. Thanks for looking

  7.
I have one of these and it's my main squeeze. Absolutely wonderful instrument - beautiful to look at as well as to play. Real character and surprisingly flexible. Highly recommended.
Thanks for the endorsement. If I hadn't just bought an expensive acoustic guitar I would definitely keep it

  12. Marc travelled to meet me in Bristol a few days ago and bought my P Bass and a bit for his DB. He's a lovely guy and it's a shame we didn't get more opportunity to chat but I'm looking forward to when he's back in town next A thoroughly nice guy and super to deal with
  13. For sale is a Lakland Skyline Hollowbody from 2008 that I took as part of a trade recently. It's a Crafted in Korea model and comes with the original hardcase (the case is scruffy and the middle latch is broken but still structurally sound and useable). The bass itself is in excellent condition. In fact, I'd go as far as to say it's virtually mint (well, I can't see a mark on it). It's fitted with Lakland Chi-Sonic pickups which are superb and as it's completely hollow, it's relatively light too. Some Marketing bumph: The Lakland Skyline Hollowbody is inspired by the design collaboration of master bass guitar builder, Michael Tobias and Lakland staff in Chicago. So much so, in fact, that the two instruments share almost exactly the same specifications. The Skyline Hollowbody features the same two-piece construction as our US-Made model, which is favored by bassist Tony Garnier (Bob Dylan). This mid-priced version of the Hollowbody has a rosewood fingerboard and the same cavity dimensions as the high-end version - giving it a similarly thick and rich tone with fantastic definition. The natural tone of the instrument is complemented by a set of Lakland's Chi-Sonic pickups. The Skyline Hollowbody has an elegant appearance. An F-hole on the upper half of the bass suggests the instruments heritage in acoustic instruments of refined quality and function, while its sound is as versatile as modern music demands! Dial in a wide array of sounds using independent controls for volume and tone and a three-way toggle to combine pickups or solo the neck or bridge humbuckers. From deep, authoritative notes reminiscent of an upright to aggressive and throaty sounds capable of cutting through as a solo voice, the Hollowbody is responsive, with a solid tonal center that many hollow basses lack. The headstock of our Skyline Hollowbody is a 2x2 layout and emblazoned with a Lakland logo unique to Laklands hollow instruments.

Nut Width: 1.6"
Nut Type: Delrin
Fret Size: .041/.085"
Width at Final Fret: 2.42"
1st Fret Neck Depth: .8"
12th Fret Neck Depth: .89"
Fingerboard Radius: 10"
Scale Length: 34"
Frets: 20
Bridge String Spacing: .75"
Neck Wood: Flat-Sawn Maple
Body wood: Carved Mahogany Back and sides
Top: Carved Maple Top
Fingerboard: Rosewood with Dots
Tuners: Hipshot licensed Ultralites
Truss Rod Access: At headstock w/Cover - 4mm Hex
Controls: Volume/Volume-Tone/Tone (Passive), Humbucker to Single coil toggle
Bridge: Lakland Bridge (through bridge stringing only)
Pickups: The Hollowbody features Lakland's new CS series Chi-Sonic pickups. Designed for high output with a wide frequency response, Chi-Sonics give you warm, rounded bottom, detailed mids, and a smooth, natural high end
The only seem to come up very rarely and are wonderful basses, just not for me at the moment I'm looking for £745 picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays). I'm willing to meet half-way too. I also have a shipping box so can post too. No trades on this one please
