1. Just sold Shaun some strings. It was a very easy deal and he's a nice guy too which always helps Highly recommended
2. Stuee bought some tuners from me in a super-smooth deal. Highly recommended
3. Definitely worth a try Sid. I'm a bit like you in that I find Stingrays the most comfortable and best looking basses out there, but just don't enjoy the sound of them
4. I had a passive bypass fitted to my old Ray by Jon Shuker about 6 years ago. Basically, when you pulled out the treble pot it acted as a Passive tone and warmed the sound up massively. I didn't cost a fortune too (well, Jon did it for free )
5. Dave bought a bridge off me recently in a totally hassle-free deal. Highly recommended
6.
I don't understand why this is still here…I have one of these (paid more than what Old Horse Murphy is asking) and it is without a doubt fantastic. No problems, the receiver fits on a pedal board (or just on top of your amp) and it works with a 9v adaptor like most pedals. I'd buy it myself if I could justify having two of them!
Thanks for the kind words
Just to double check that this is for both the transmitter and receiver? Does it come with the original box and power supply (I only ask as it won't be going on my board, it'll sit in my back of my rack). Cheers
Yes, it's for the whole unit and comes complete with box and power supply
7. The "new" Bass Centre is about 5 minutes from where I live. I popped in last year and Barry showed me the new Bass Centre basses (Notman Watt-Roy Jazz in particular) and the Brian May guitar range too. I had a quick go in the Wyman bass and thought it was fine. It is VERY small though and a bit if an acquired taste. Barry also took time to tell me how the Wyman bass came to fruition and his meetings with Bill himself during the inception. I'm sure he'd be more than happy for anyone to pop along and try one. He makes a great cup of tea and has a whole wealth of stories.
8. For sale is a mint condition (apart from velcro on the bottom) TC Electronic Flashback Mini Delay pedal, complete with box. It's virtually unused and will probably remain so if I keep it It has the Tone Print function that allows settings/patches to be downloaded on to it. Currently retailing for £95, mine is £70 inc. Here's some bumph: http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/tc-electronic-flashback-mini-delay-effects-pedal.html?gclid=CIGjxY_D68ICFTLJtAodrmkAZA
9. For sale is a set of pickups from a 2011 Fender American Series Jazz Bass (not Custom Shop). I'm changing the pickups and controls on my US Jazz bass, so these are now surplus to requirements. There is one thing to note and that is the black wire from the bridge pickup is cut quite short as it was originally wired to an earth (at the factory). This is relatively easy to remedy with a bit of solder and a longer wire though. I'm looking for £60 inc delivery.
10. For sale are Thomastik Spiro Weichs D And G strings (virtually unused) Thomastik for a 3/4 DB (Orchestral tuning). These were put on my 3/4 DB but replaced after a matter of minutes with a Gut D and G. As a result, they are nearly immaculate. I'm looking for £60 plus £2 p&p
11. I'm sure it is. Mr/Mrs Aguilar is (was) definitely a Fender employee and I've certainly owned Fender US basses with the same stamp
12. Is there any chance this is a US Highway 1 model? That would explain the Badass Bridge, thin Nitro finish and non-string thru body. If it is, they were super basses in their own right
13. For sale is a very good condition Fender US ABS Bass case. I got this with a recent purchase and it's surplus to requirements. I will put up better pictures shortly, but it really is in very good condition, apart from some scuffs and light marks (as you'd probably expect on a 34 year old case) but nothing serious. Yours for £90 picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays). I'd consider trades for a Mono M80 gigbag or a set of Wizard 64's or 84's.
14. For sale/trade is a Fender SKB case (American Series Bass case) in super condition and complete with keys. These cases are superb, with a strong ABS shell and 4 solid locks. I'm looking for £80 picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays) or would trade for a Mono M80 gigbag.
15. I've been asked about selling bits separately, so will sell the following based on prices advertised on Sandberg's online shop: Tuners- SOLD Bridge- SOLD Knobs- £15 plus £3 postage String retainer- £15 plus £2 postage
