I'm reluctantly selling a recently reacquired Fender Custom Shop 64 Jazz Bass in Burgundy Mist with matching headstock. It was made in 2007 and I bought it later the same year. However, a change in musical direction means needs must It comes complete with certificate, candy and a recently acquired G&G Cream Fender Case (not the original but identical to the original that came with this bass). As a Closet Classic, the bass has lacquer checking, a few dings, indentations, a bit of colour fading and slightly tarnished hardware (including ashtrays). Most of the dents and dings are factory original, but it has picked up a few authentic ones along the way (the ones are free ) Weight-wise it's around 9lbs (a bit less) and has just been set up and strung with TI Flats. For sale/trade is a stunning 1999 G&L L2500 5 string made in the USA. It has a cost option maple cap and Cherryburst finish. The neck is a beautiful flamed maple and the frets have plenty of life left in them. Overall condition is superb, apart from one ding on the under side (I've done my best to picture it). It comes with the original case (bit tatty but fully functioning), Certificate, control diagram and warranty card. Weight-wise it comes in at around 9.5lbs with a lovely low action. It sounds superb; everything from a Stingray on steroids to dubby P Bass. It's probably the best 5 string I've played, but is currently surplus to requirements. I'm looking for £770 picked up. No trades please It can be picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays).
