1. They have really gone down in value since he shot his wife.
2. Could get my rig and the drums (with drummer) in my Focus C-Max. However, when we first started we could get the whole band and gear into a Fiesta. Don't ask me how, but it worked.
3. I recently bought a second hand Stingray and I am over the moon with it. It has given me the tone I have always wanted! However, I have noticed a reduced volume from the G string when plugged in. I have looked on t'internet and found that this can be common with Stingrays. Has anyone else on here noticed this, and if so do you have any tips on how it can be overcome? I have tried raising the pickup height, but this has had no impact. Can the pole height be adjusted easily? I would appreciate any thoughts that you have, and apologise in advance if this has been dealt with elsewhere - I couldn't find anything. Cheers
4. I have used a Hipshot D-tuner for the past 20+ years. But the answer really depends on the song, the line you're playing, and what everyone else is doing.
5. I use a bass big muff. No loss of low end on the 'dry' setting.
6. Another one here. Seems perfectly natural to me, the same as holding your fork in your left and knife in your right hand ('Righties' tend to swap hands when they are only using a fork - freaks), and holding a computer mouse in your right hand (so I can make notes at the same time). Got lots of funny looks in India when I was using my left hand for everything!
7. I was really gutted to hear this. Before going to the Bass Merchant I had a really negative view of music shops. Although I wasn't a regular customer, whenever I went there it was a real joy. Best of luck for the future guys.
8. Still here bump.
9. What about suggesting that you all give the band a break for a while, doing your best not to burn any bridges for the future. Sorting out boundaries with a partner can be a minefield and he needs time to resolve them. You definitely don't want to get in the middle of that.
10. It's unlikely to improve the sound out front that much if you can't really hear yourself. I would suggest alternating approaches to see what makes you feel happiest. Failing that, stand at the front of the stage in the middle so you can hear both cabs
11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Le-mYN3dl0 I'll get me coat
12. At the moment I feel that one is all I need.
13. Here's my BB1100s. She's had a bit of work done.
14. Price drop bump
15. Serious or not, he's only saying what the rest of us are thinking.
16.
(Whispering very, very quietly) I once did. Even worse, I've seen Cliff Richard, admittedly with the Shadows. My big sisters made me.
I'll see your Cliff Richard, and raise you Black Lace! BTW I love hearing slap bass - I feel that one of the main purposes of bass guitar is to make people want to dance, and slap does that for me. Unfortunately, I can't actually do it very well at all despite years of trying!
17. Rory Gallagher - Laundromat or Bullfrog Blues (with bass solo!)
18. Bump! Hope you enjoy the Q-Tron, Netballman.
19. Q-Tron now sold. Will accept £25 for Bass Compactor. Also, is there any interest out there in a Boss CE-2B Chorus Pedal?
20. Big Muff now sold.
21. Oh, but it can be! (active/passive selector switch)
22. Another Bump!
