1. Wow! Great bass but more importantly I want to play gigs with people hanging off poles all over the shop!
2. Very very nice. I'd love to hear these. I love it when manufacturers really take the effort to make their product look this nice.
3. I use a sansamp to both foh and back to my head. I let the sound guy worry about eg for foh and I use the graphic eq on my amp head to pinpoint and cut back problem frequencies on stage. Once gig starts I don't really touch anything.
4. a really good 1x12 cab will do you nicely. theres a berg ae112 in gear for sale at the mo that would be my 1st choice.
5. If my van sells before this i'll be in touch. Not sure where predator country is tho or if I live close to it.
6. Most shops are offering interest free for 10 Months which doesn't help. Half the ads in the for sale section are for overseas which puts me off too.
7. Oh that's terrible. You have a fender CS bass with a perfectly aligned neck. Send it back immediately - it must have slipped past the qc radar.
8. Sansamp. A killer valve sound and really really useful when you have to go through the PA at bigger gigs. Behringer version will do pretty much the same in a slightly less robust but great bang for buck package.
9. Good stuff. Defo the way to go.
10. Get a decent head and something like a barefaced cab. You'll scare the crap out of your guitards and you'll never run out of steam.
11. I have sansamp di on my pedalboard and use it in my effects loop as well as a di box. Most gigs I use all my own gear but if I do backline share at a gig with my originals band then I give sound guy a line from the sansamp. That thing sounds killer and sound guys love them. As it's integral to my sound the shared amp is only a monitor for me so my foh sound is usually pretty much what I want it to be.

SOLD

I have one of these. Had it four years and can't see myself ever selling it (nearly did last yr but had moment of clarity in time). Great basses and a bargain at this price. GLWTS you fool
13. Because it allows people like me to watch people like Marta. The fact that she's a great player helps me justify it to my wife and myself no matter how thinly veiled an excuse it is.

DIY Porn!

Wow, there's some real talent on here. I'd love to hear some of the diy basses (seems really wrong calling the basses diy cos they all look really pro)through a diy preamp into a diy amp through a diy cab etc etc.
15. That's awesome thanks. I've passed deets over so hopefully she'll be in touch with the band.
16. Hi, we played a wedding a few weeks back and a friend of the bride has asked her if we know of a decent band in the Northumberland area for her wedding. Does anyone know or play in a band up there? We do pop rock type covers and I think they're looking for something similar. Happy to pass details along to bride to be if you're interested or know anyone. Cheers
17. I use them when running cables through wall cavities or installing car stereo cables through bulkhead other awkward spaces.
18. Loving tye fact that the bland dross Coldplay / radiohead type fans are so put out by this. Metallica may not be everyone's cuppa but respect where it's due for a band that have achieved plenty and still deliver live time after time. Lars is still a tool tho. Heard him on radio this morning talking about Glaston-berry.
19.
If you like the sound you get with one PF210, my advice would be to get another one.
This. It'll be worth the wait and look good. Beyond that go and listen to other cabs. It's a totally subjective thing so buy with your ears not other people's ears. Don't go for cheaper cabs tho. You'll regret it. Good luck and welcome back to gigging!
20. By choice I would have gone for the 3012ho but I had two of the lf's in the workshop so meant no big outlay. I may swap them out and use the lf's for subs at some point. Not gonna try to talk you out of building something. It's the best feeling when people come up and coo over your kit and then you tell them it's not mass produced but self built. Simplexx is a really nice build to. Really straightforward.

DIY Porn!

Let's see your self built porn. Guitars, amps, cabs, pedals, racks etc. I'll put my BFM Simplex 1x12's in "funky purple" finish with silver grill cloth up. Eminence Kappalite 3012lf's and Eminence APT80 tweeters. Now show us yours!
22. Both cabs now finished and sounding great. Super pleased with them. I'll be gigging the whole rig this weekend so will post a review.
23. These are fabulous power amps. Great for bass or PA and the built in limiter is a godsend with this much power GLWTS.
