1. The mids on the stingray is so good that the notes is not muddy, even when the bass eq push up to mix on the preamp.
2. Both pickup volume full never cut it for me in live situation. Tone is scooped and it won't cut through. I find it favoring the bridge pickup and play near the bridge gives a more useable tone.
3. Recently traded my Fender jazz for a Musicman Sub stingray (MIA version). I finally enjoy the MM bass again. I had 2 high end MM bass in the bass and they were Stingray 3 band 4H and Bongo 4 HS. Sold the ray because didn;t get on with the sound and sold the bongo due to money problem. The MIA Sub sounded fantastic, altho is 2 band with no indent on the bass/treble control but it sounded completely different then the 3 band ray i had in the pass. The bass just sounded right to me.
4. Only if these were the RM 2x12 =.=
5. Really glad you enjoy the bass james. I love the musicman sub. I can get that ray sound again. Miss it when i sold my stingray and bongo. I'm opposite, i take the bridge cover off and leave the neck cover lol.
6. The bass is on a trading pending atm.
7. My fender P bass had been modded. J pickup added to the bridge to add some bite, I can always just use the p pickup alone. Also I hate the P neck so I've change it to a glossy maple jazz neck. Is my main gigging bass. Already got rid of my stingray, ACG and bongo because of this bass.
8. I want one also but is more like I want one then actually need one. I've own stingray and bongo before, both fantastic bass and sounded killer but got rid of it at the end due to not being play much. P and J works for me lol.
9. I like my Fender 60s jazz. Feels good, balance way and sound good. For some reason I don't use it in gig, instead I use my P/J bass ......
10. free bump. German warwick for a bargain price. I've always wondering what this bass would sound like with 2x MEC humbucker instead of the soapbars.
11. I used to own the older rockbass streamer bass and you are right, they are low output. Funny thing is my westone thunder 1A fretless is lowout as well.
12. Great bass and great price. No money for this unless my jazz sells. So many 5 strings for sale right now that I'm interest but no money till the jazz sells =.=
13. The market is not great atm. I'm not too desperate to sell so I'm not going to reduce the price to silly money. Altho buyer would like to buy for dirt cheap.
14. I've got the westone thunder 1A fretless. Play nice but I'm not too keen on the active mode consider is bass boost and cut treble or treble boost and cut bass ..... Also it takes 2x 9v battery. I use my as passive mode.
15. Without so many knobs to fiddle, i can concentrate on playing and getting the tone in my hands .......
16.
Me too... mine was so bad I didn't even try another one for 17 years, during that time I felt a little bit sick every time I saw one.
As time goes by and gone through many different basses. I came to a conclusion that P bass is the best thing lol. Plug and go and turn the volume up and everything works well in the mix lol.
17. Nice Lakland
18. Tried this site. http://www.westone.info/indexbasses.html
19. Very nice 5 string SGC Nanyo you got their. This is probably something I would be interest to buy if my Fender sells.
20. I use to hate precision bass because is my first bass was a precision. Now P bass is my go to bass. I've made 2 changes to my Fender P bass. First added a J pickup so the bass becomes P/J bass but I use the P pickup most. Second I've swap the P neck with a glossy maple jazz neck.
21. The first pic shows is a 5 string but the second pic shows is a 4 string ......
22. Is this the US model or the korea model? I don't know much about Lakland model. This is probably the bass I would want but my fender is not selling so no money lol.
