I need to stop going on this thread ...... my jazz is not selling so no 5 string sire for me =.=

These Marcus Miller bass is getting hot man. I remember seeing Marcus interview about these basses and he said he make sure these bass don't get bad rep because his name is on the bass. I'm sure they are quality bass and sound quality too.

Redsub combo is pretty decent. I've got one for home practice and is 100watt, can handle small gig or use as monitor.

I use to own one of these. I certainly won't want to split the cab into two. They sounded decent on its own but I would prefer the HF model. I didn't get on with the HE models.

I think their are 2 version of the M80 DI. My was the early version and the battery clip cover is badly made. They gave me the newer one which works so nice and it won't break anything because putting battery in and out is easy without brutal force lol.

yeah man I don't think I can buy another bass so if I buy one, one have to go. I'm using my 4 string P/J bass more these days and I needed a 5 string. Make sense to get rid of the jazz for a 5.

I want to ask too. Why Ken Smith or a specific bass is good for gospel? I guess any bass can be use to play gospel .......

I've bought my MXR M80 long long time ago (approx 6-7 years). If any M80 owner knows the battery clip tends to break easily (for me at least) when extracting the battery out ..... I have broken one long time ago and Dunlop send me a replacement one for free. Consider they send from US which is pretty cool. I have broken the battery clip again and this time Dunlop send me a new style battery clip for free again. This new style one prevents me from broken because the battery goes in and out easily.

I say start with unline because if you can handle that, it will make you a better player. My westone unline fretless is quite easy to pickup because the side dots position is place where the actual frets will be. So finding reference point is alot easier. I spend 2 week hardcore playing on fretless and I must admit it does feel weird going back to a fretted bass lol. I can only play a fretless like a fretted bass at the moment. Still got alot to learn.

I remember I watch a interview of Slash. He said he got 99+ guitars but he only use 2x for gig 90% of the time. I think is cool to own alot but most of the time they will just gather dust.

I've already got a westone fretless 4 string, altho I would prefer a 6 string tune fretted but the fretless is tempting. Not sure how much I will be using ......

I will see how it goes. I guess the dude don't get on with fretless and 6 string and would prefer a fender jazz.
