1. was going to suggest the Grey Horse. The same guy also puts on bands up at the Kings Head in Acton - bigger venue, but you do have to lug your kit up a fire escape.
2. Nice one mate
3. I'm in Tunbridge Wells
4. Great song, well recorded. Nice one P Dudey!
5. Hello from another of the Kent brigade

7. Lagawagon's version of "Bring on the Dancing Horses" and the Beats "Tears of a Clown" last Monday. Got the first one down pronto, but the second needs more work.
8. A pub in Nottingham (the Narrow Boat?) in 1989. Frantic, quick set, good fun.
9. Depeche Mode, Brighton Dome, October 1981
10. I've been going to them since they were just the Guitar and Amp Centre in a tiny shop a short walk from where they are now. Always had great service.

The UV lit Trace stuff has always done it for me on, with the Ampeg fliptop a close second.
12. Hi Jake, did you have to import it yourself or is there a UK dealer for Steinberger?
13. Some good advice above. As a compressor junkie for the last twenty years, I've learnt one thing - every bassist wants something different from a compressor. A lot of folks love the Trace Elliot dual-band comp. I couldn't shift mine fast enough. Just didn't do what I wanted. Some worship their valve comps, while others say they're too noisey. Only you know what you want it to do to your sound. My last comp was a modded Boss CS3 - fantastic amounts of squish and a low noise floor. Thing to remember about nearly all PEDAL compressors is that the vast majority of them are based on one or the other of two designs. Range of controls, tone suck and noise levels will vary between these pedals, but they are still based on one of these designs. There are exceptions (among others the JoeMeek above, which I'm dying to try. But again it's based on the JM rack comps which have their own sound) As Simon says, your best bet is to go for a properly spec'd rack unit. Play with it for a while and you'll know your settings for punch, squish and limiting and all points in between. What am I using now? Nothing at the moment. I've decided I don't like compressors after all

15. Ampeg SVT CL and matching 8X10 please OR A drummer without an attitude problem :snob:
16. 10 years and two months
17. Great basses, and something for everyone thanks to all the variation in standard models, to say nothing of the custom options. There is a misconception about them being heavy. My ash Corvette sounds like an angry Jazz on steroids, but is ridiculously light.
18. GAK in Brighton have a good stock of basses and amps (and guitars, recording equipment, etc, etc) In Tonbridge there's the American Guitar Centre - not a huge stock but some very exotic loveliness can often be found there.
19.
I have something in mind, so no trades sorry.
Cool, good luck with the sale
20. For sale only, or interested in trades?
21. Cash sale only or might you br interested in trades?
22. Pretty much....... just a tuner pedal between the bass and amp most of the time.
23. More Pitchblack love here - fast, accurate and stable.
24. My first thought was Henry's from M*A*S*H, but if you need a bigger brim, how about a sombrero?
