Totally with you @AndyTravis. I quit my band a few months ago after 10+ years as I was bored and want enjoying it. Haven’t missed or regretted it once - still I’m touch with the band who are mates and I think they expect me to say I regret my decision. I don’t. It actually felt like a massive weight off my shoulders. I’ve totally stopped playing the bass and re-discovered the piano. I still love ‘bass’ as a sound but I’ve got zero GAS for any equipment or kit. I don’t think I’ll ever sell my JMJ 😃 as it’s just a thing of beauty but I can see me gradually selling off much of the other stuff. It just feels like a natural end. I’m OK with it. If the urge comes back in time I’m sure I’ll pick it up again.

Brilliant and highly capably synth keyboard from ASM. You can pretty much build any sound you can think of from this peice of kit - so many parameters in a relatively logical and analogue layout. Full specs here --> https://www.ashunsoundmachines.com/hydrasynth-explorer Comes as new complete with all original packaging, power cable and instructions manual. Purchased new by me from Andertons in February 2023 and has had only a few hours of home use. Looking to trade up to a Roland Juno X if anyone has one!

Reduced to £850 Selling my 2019 Flea jazz bass. I'm no longer playing in a band and thining my collection back. I do love this but my JMJ and P are the only ones I pick up an play trigger now. This is a lovey example, all in perfect working order and arguably with the higher quality early-model relicing. Weighs in on bathroom scales at 4.0kg and comes with the orginal Fender soft gig bag (unmarked) and the original tags (and the original 'Flea' neck plate which has been replaced with the more generic Fender version. https://serialnumberlookup.fender.com/product/0141020356 Not looking to post but happy to work with the buyer at their cost to organise a courier. Also happy to meet up a reasonably distance from Surrey / south east.

Again, congrats from another JMJ (Daphne blue) owner. Just the nicest sounding bass I've ever had and it's just perfect.

Thanks - that’s really helpful. Do you use a separate compressor and did you find the one on the SGT useful?

Mine arrived today. Alas no time to try it out properly now until next week 😬

Thanks for the review Greg. I held off getting one of these at the time of release pending some reviews but put in a pre-order last weekend so look forward to it turning up on over the next few weeks/months.

We played on a small stage to a limited audience in Leatherhead town centre last night. Sadly the rain ensured everyone stayed away. The stage was originally facing the high street (which would have been excellent with a crowd and some sun) but they had to flip it so the bands we playing into the shopping centre to allow any audience to have some cover from the wet. This proved challenging for the (fantastic) soundmen from the local theatre. We had to put bin bags ovet the back of the amps to stop them getting wet. Ended up feeling like an exclusive, invite only event 🙂. I'm sure the passers by on their way to the pub or restaurants enjoyed the background music. It was an event organised by the local community and it was great to support that. Some great bands on too - we were fortunate to be the closing act so it felt a bit more atmospheric as the evening went on and, all in all, after a bite to eat and a couple of pints we all agreed a good evening was had by all! Certainly a new and positive experience.
