Anyone have any good updates to this - still nothing on YouTube that is particularly helpful or any bass tab? I can't see the link on the earlier posts so not sure what was out there.

Should I add another cab or Switch for something bigger.

I've shelved that idea and just put down a deposit on a BF Compact. Can't wait . . . -

SP210 up for sale. Have come across a potential swap for a OBC115. As a possible step in between getting a BF Compact, would this make sence. It is 400W (450W suggested elsewhere) which is presumably going to be a lower SPL to the BF but from the earlier input this will probably be 50% more than the SP210 is giving at the moment through the Isobaric sert up so probably more suited to larger venues. I'm hapy to try a different set up but don't want to get rid of a great cab for a set up that is inferior - albeit it that I could always the BF route. Thoughts? -
Straight swap? http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1
Dan - pretty much got my heart set on a Barefaced Compact. How would the Orange 115 stack up to that in terms of air displacement and SPLs etc? Like the idea of keeing it Orange though! Anyway, thought you were looking to free up the cash

*** Now SOLD *** I am selling my Orange SP210 cab after 18 months of happy ownership in order to trade up to something a bit bigger and louder. OK. Is there some where in or around London that has a 'decent' selection of cabs that I could go along to with my OBT to find my sound and make the choice based on my ears? -
Awaiting the caterwallering replies from the "I don't care what the numbers say I love mine" set.
Not from this corner. I do love the little Orange cab but I want more volumes so will probably sell the SP210 and give the Barefaced guys a call. Funny really as I'm not always substance over style Thanks for feedback everyone - and thanks Geoff for confirming the set up works. CJ -

Wow. That I didn't know. Maybe I should have had this chat 18 months ago! This explains a lot ..... thanks. -
What's your budget? How many gigs are you planning to do? My first suggestion would be to get another SP210 cab.
Budget not as important as getting the right set but in my head I guess £500 or £800 with £300 from the sale of the SP210 if I went down that route. I don't expect to be doing more than one gig a month but who knows where this could go ??! Another SP210 would look neat but interested to know if another killer combination would work. The barefaced kit looks good, not sure how I missed it before. Would love to upgrade the SP210 for the Big Twin..... -
Hello. If have been running an OTB 500 with the SP210 for around 18 months in a 4 piece mainly messing about in a studio. We are now about to do a couple of gigs (garden party and hotel reception with around 200 people on the later). Whilst I Love the OTB, I haven't always felt the power through the SP210 when turning up the dial and have recently experienced the cab farting at higher volumes with gain. I thought this was a bit strange since the amp is on 500w against the cab's 600w. I as the OTB has dual output, I was thinking I could maximise the power by adding another cab. Since the amp can deal with 4 or 8 ohms I figure I could add another SP210 or maybe even an SP410. Can anyone give me some guidance please? Should I attempt to combine something (Orange or otherwise) with the SP210 or just sell it and replace it with something that will max the potential of the OTB on its own?? I'm not hugely technical so any advice really appreciated. Thanks, Christian.

I'm selling my EHX BBM after six months as I really have no need for it with my Orange Terror Bass. Perfect working order - I've used it around 10 times in total and it is complete with all packaging and pretty much looks like new. Jakesbass, Jakesbass And Thrice Jakesbass
CJPJ replied to jakenewmanbass's topic in Tutors Available
A breif big-up for the Jakesbass following my first lesson last night. Jake is a great guy and knows how to handle his (beautiful) bass(es). I felt really comfortable learning and listening to his coaching and quickly relaxed to take on board what he was saying. It was great having Jake guide me through some initial observations and giving me the feedback. I was really in a rut with my playing but after 2 hours with Jake I feel really motivated and re-energised. I look forward to my next lesson on a few weeks where I hope to able to show some improvement having followed the training excercises. Thanks Jake. Best regards Christian. ps. driving back along Hogsback/A3 last night was v. scarey - more like swimming..... -
Just seen this on the wire - anyone seen / heard? There is a 500w and 300w I'll still with my TB500 and SP210 separates but I guess the combo could be useful (especially the 300w) and would offer more protection from getting that pretty little thing knocked about (but isnt that the whole point - to have something good to look at as well as an awesome sound!?).
