  1. Hi Ash ....... I know what you mean, but the harsh commercial reality is that this is the price that these things go for nowadays. And I need to sell. The necks on these things are fantastic too.

Two passive soapbars with volume, volume, tone and a bolt on neck. This one weighs in at a shade under 7 1/2 pounds and has one of those wonderful Ovangkol / Wenge necks. It's in good nick all round - although you'll see that there is some paint scuffing on the front. The previous owner says he did that by finger playing ???? It's very light and very playable with a great sound. I'm selling this and a black and maple P/J as my band has been recruited by an agent and I need to add a fretless and an acoustic to my toolkit.   15. But seriously .... it's all about being in a band. There will be, as you recognise, some times where you play songs that you either don't like, don't like playing or both. It depends on who calls the shots in the band and how far you are willing to stray out of your comfort zone. If you don't like a song - tell the others and be constructive. If you're shouted down or outvoted, then you should either ..... just get on with it or pull the plug on your involvement. You choose. I would tolerate the odd such occurence, but if it happened too often, then I would realise that I was in the wrong band. I really didn't like "Superstition" in a band a while back but I bit the bullet as everyone else liked it. I found a way of playing it that better suited my style (kinda "Stranglerised" my part). No one complained about me doing that and I then found it tolerable. Didn't like it, but I could do it.

  18. I know this is not directly answering your question ...... but if it's any help to you, I recently replaced some blown 12" PA speakers with a couple of Eminence Delta speakers. I am blown away. The quality of the Eminence speakers is immence. Great improvement in the sound versus the originals. I too worried that the speakers wouldn't fit. I worried that the screw holes wouldn't line up etc. I just took a look at the promo pictures of the new speakers online before I purchased and saw that they at least looked as if they had the same mounting holes. All worked out fine when they arrived. I want to HEAR those DR Sunbeams against the Hi-Beams, and the Rotosounds. I want to see how that Warmoth Jazz neck actually fits a bunch of Fender bodies. While you're at it, grab those Fender bodies, and some others, maybe a big block of plywood, and a block of plastic, install the same pickups, electronics and hardware, neck and strings, and let's see a scientific analysis of the unamplified and amplified tonal differences. I WANT TESTS! I want to see manufacturers' claims and received wisdom tested. And I want it ALL to be IMPARTIAL. I really hope ibass get it together, it could be great, but it requires some forward thinking about what it can offer an audience, and the right interface. [/quote] In my judgement, there is no point in paying any attention to iBass as I know full well that it is doomed to failure. In my opinion, it is just not good enough - for all the reasons that Silddx said. If they are going to do it this way - just go and buy yourself a printed magazine instead. Also, the flippant way that this guys throws out excuses is annoying. Good luck to anyone who spends any money on the premium version - rather you than me.
