Hi there, This Pino came right from LA I bought it from the bassplayer of White Wizzard he recorded almost all the albums with it. Check this track he played it on: http://www.myspace.c...49064656&ac=now Although this is certainly not my kind of music and he turned all the bass out to get that high pitched bark out of the instrument, it's a real nice Pino that was bought by him at GC on the strip in Hollywood. The bass allready relic'd also shows some player wear he clearly gigged this thing alot. The bass has a very resonant sound and is excellent to use a pic on, it now has flats on and it just sounds great, as every pino does I have the impression, these series are top of the line pecision basses you can't get any better then these. The bass has its case which is also used regularly it has the factory hangtag with all the check stamps, although it misses the CS certificate, I heard GC sometimes removes them or forgets to include it when it's being sold, they push boxes you know. But there seems to be a way to get a new certificate from CS by a certified fender CS dealer, although it's quite a hastle I believe. For 2200 euro it's yours!!! ultimate price drop... Small clip I recorded with it http://www.filefacto...n/pino_jazz_mp3 The pics:

No seriously this is one of the nicest Coppolos Ive seen around here. I have a Pino Palldino up for sale (not on this forum though) after thats gone I only have 1 bass in my collection a 1965 Precison Bass. The problem is they cost far too much money to haul around. And actually I don't know what these costs but I'm sure a also quite a big figure tight? Anyways amazing looking bass that color is just inmense. So BUMP there:D -
You're right Bram and Geert! I will regret selling this bass! My Rick 4003 will have to do the job together with the Precision! I'll withdraw this auction and keep my bass! Thanks for making me thinking this over! :-)
Your welcome! Very wise!
It's an interesting path you're following...from high end basses to vintage Precisions...it's a surprise every time. I hope you'll find what you're aiming for (luckily I got it solved after 30 years but I'm still looking at the pictures :-))
Hehe I'm following Dirk aswell, I bought a bass from him a while back... I really felt this 68 bass was something for him seeing he does these revival gigs. I dont know what he sees in Ricks above Fender P's but I'm sure over a couple of years he's prolly back to P's again:D Funny thing you mentioned the "path" I have found the true bass for me only last year the precision bass! Man I wish I didnt have to buy all those idiotic 5 and 6 string basses, brands like Fodera Pedulla Lakland and so on and so on...:S If I bought a P-bass in the begin 90s it would have saved me soooo much money hehehe Actually the only thing I do watch is P-basses! Thats right watch them, they all sound a bit different and prolly the 1965 bass I got isnt the best P-bass in the world but it somehow is my P-bass and for the first time I'm trying to stick with that bass... I have tried to give into gas over other P-basses but then I thought well great then I wont be playing this nice 65er bass of mine what good is that gonna do:D I never had anykind of deeper bond with an instrument like that before! I really have trouble leaving the bass unplayed in a corner, so I'm quite interested in what "truth" you got going on for 30 odd years then? So DIrk once again why "again" are you selling a bass that is awesomely good? Take care Dirk have a bump on me.

Hi Richard, Thanks for the bump mate. No the 66 jazz isnt put together yet I mailed Wes about the neck just today so lets see if he's in for the restoration project. I'm sure in the end it's gonna be killer, but I am in no hurry tho:D Atleast I have my trusty old 1965 p-bass still thats doing a more then ok job atm:D You can see it standing next to the SIlvertone in the pics... Regards, Bram

Thanks guys for the bump! @ Sibob Me'shell didnt use a reissue it was the real deal! You can see me'shell playing that instrument in the youtube clips I posted and yes it did sound very big! and so does this one! The reissues have the D (from dane electro in the pickguard) the originals didnt have that, also it says silvertone on the headstock which the reissues don't...Thats how you can tell. Regards, Bram
