Really missed it when I went to the programmable, so had to go back.
Hmm.. a new toy me thinks.. the mrs is going to kill me I just bought a bass on tuesday It's a shame the 3 channel didn't have it though
 2.
I quite tempted by the programmable 3 ch one, is it the same internals in a different box?
I've the 3 channel.. it's great for gigs if you want different sounds or volumes during the gig or a different bass.. and it helps when you're starting out remembering what sounds good and sounds guys love them.. (just don't give them to much bass (more than75%) or the mix might sound muddy.. I know i'm being fussy.. its shame you can't get the sanamp sound through DI and a bypass sound out that goes into you cab as well as the coloured sound.. I'm just being geeky.. It's great for recording either at home or in the studio tooo . the think the 'blend' dial is the important key to it
 3.
All gone,
I bought it.. in a long chain of bass exchanges and sales .. and it sounds so nice.. It's the bass you hear once and it's sold..vintage or what.. cheers fluffo and WHUFC

 5. I went to the bass gallery and picked up a mono strap http://www.thebassgallery.com/BassProductL...p&Cat_ID=14 I would have bought the comfort straps but I heard about one that broke.. I guess like the old saying ' they don't make them like they used to'. Stitching is stronger than plastic
 6. Thanks fellow bassists.. I'll either go for the comfort strap or if I get time the levy tan one looks cool
 7. Hi all, I've recently bought an old jazz US bass it's lovely but quite heavy on a long gig.. all my old basses were quite light so I could use my dad's lovely old vintage strap was fine.. however, I think his strap won't help my back.. Function on sat.. any recommendations? I live in London
 8. first of all. i'm very impressed. how does it sound? I assume you're gonna add a speaker grill.. What speaker did you use and how much has it cost you...?

 11.
Wow, two of these going down on the same day. Im steering well clear of MB from now on ;-) Good luck getting it sorted.
It's the first i've heard of that.. easy.. sounds like just a one off
 12.

] I take you like marknass cabs then
 13.
Why thank you!, still looking good and sounding huge, now using 1cab each side of the drummer.....small, light and powerfull.......thats me, count me in! but where is ur yellow contribution?
each side of the drummer.. when I'm playing drums.. that sounds like heaven
 14.
What, both of them? I started on guitar and took up bass later, which meant I had an idea of what notes were in various chords and scales. It's easier translating guitar knowledge to bass than to keyboards. I think it would be a bit more difficult going from bass to guitar, but I also feel that it's useful for a bassist to have at least a basic grasp of another melodic instrument. Drums would probably be handy too - it's something I'd like to have some ability at but have never got round to.
I totally agree.. I started in drums.. stuck with.. still love it.. then played guitar.. I could play it.. but It didn't feel right... I picked up bass and life felt great.. bass really is the link between pitch and rhythm.. sometimes the link needs lots of notes.. other times just a few.. and only true musicians understand.. As a drummer you get a lot of recognition, if you're good... but on bass nothing.. only if you're not there.. then they say something isn't right what is it???
 15.
Hi Everybody Up for sale we have an innovative and highly portable cab Shroeder 1212l, 19kg, 800watts, 4ohm If you looking at this im pretty sure you know what it can do, Condition is reasonably good, Just a few breaks in the rhino finish, so in some lights you can see the pink undercoating, and in others not at all Reason for sale? I like it, but am just not using it like i thought i would.. being a young strapping lad, a markbass 4x10 is just as portable. Including collection costs i paid about 300 quid for this cab, so im looking for that back if possible? i think the retail is about 600 quid from sfx sound. I can ship at your cost (probs 15-20 quid) you can collect from me (walsall west mids) or meet halfway depending on where you are. Im going to be in norway as of tomorrow, but will be able to get back to you as i will be online. I'm also going to be in london on 26th of june, so dont mind slinging in the back of the car for a meet up at one of the northern tube stations (hillingdon/uxbridge etc..) Trades - not really looking... but as always i can be tempted with interesting things Ps.. Ashdown head isnt strictly for sale, but can be for the right offer lol
Young strapping lad?? LOL mark bass are very light.. Which I why I use them... The 212 is a good cab. I saw a guy in pub play it.. all I heard was bass lol.. a little bit of vocs and a touch of drums, no guitars.. just an earthquake!!! :-). If I hadn't just bought my orange.. I'd have that in flash
 16. I want it now!!
 17. Ok.. it can seem a bit silly. But If i'm heading up for the weekend to see my folks but have gig to practice for.. this seems a very portable way to practice.. Has anyone used it?? 18.
It's finally penetrated my thick skull that I'm never going to get on with the Stingray sound so I want to trade this for a Jazz. It's less than two weeks old so I'd rather trade than sell. I A/B'ed this in the shop with a Stingray and couldn't tell the difference. If anything the Ray34 played better than the Stingray but that could have been down to better setup. The fit and finish is absolutely faultless as you would expect from Musicman. It's as new except that I fitted another pickup then replaced the stock pickup. I'm after a Jap or Mexican 60s or 70s reissue or Roadworn or USA Standard. Will include some cash from me depending on the value of the bass offered. Would also consider a Mexican 50s P
Where are you based.. I might just bee willing to buy?
 19. I have a different pain.. I've reached this point with my drums and i'm happy with what I have.. but since I started actually having my own basses very late in my playing years (borrowed pro spec stuff from players with alot of gear who are very good friends), i'm trying to accelerate this process so i'm totally happy on the bass front, with a selection of basses and amps.. I guess you can't though..
 20.
No probs. You can pick up the tape or sheets if you prefer off ebay. Fitting is self-explanatory but you should make sure that each cavity is earthed - the stuff solders like a dream.
my J pickup on my fender jazz aerodyne is a but lively.. could I do the same on mine?
 21. original tracks have been deleted from you tube.. booo
 22.
I used to play the drums in pit bands hundreds of years ago. Sight reading is everything. I doubt the music will be all that difficult but they'll expect you to turn up at the dress rehearsal, have the dots put in front of you and play it first time. I wish I could do that with the bass (I'm a lapsed classically trained percussionist). You haven't to fall asleep either - the conductor will be looking for his cues and might not give you much warning of the next song. Other than that minor difficulty, I used to really enjoy it.
Ditto.. I'm exactly the same .. I can read drums but not pitch.. I have to use my ears
 23.
I did a gig recently and they had huge http://www.noisecontrolaudio.com/products_sw15.htm wedges that were stomach churningly powerful. It sounded amazing on stage.
I rest my case :-)
 24.
Surely the quality of your gear is a big factor too...I can't imagine someone playing an Encore through a 10w practice amp is going to sound as good as someone with a US Fender through a MB stack assuming that both are competant players.
I agree.. that's in the equipment part.. but it needs to be used correcttly.. I've seen great players use crap gear and it sounds great and bad player use great gear and sound sh*t
