1. A legend...... This year is starting so badly. Sadly, I expect the forthcoming years to be a gradual culling of all my faves..... such is the age they are all reaching.....
2. If this had been black & gold I'd be 'biting your hand off' for it....
3. I'm tempted mate..... prob would have bitten you hand off if it was a black or white one (I know, shallow!)
4. GK preamp pedal and Darkglass amp have both piqued my interest.....
5. Darkglass B7K.... pure class! I have a feeling my fave pedal of 2016 will be my Future Impact (when it arrives next month!)
6. Liking this..... as long as it has some way of replicating the 'hitting the rails' growl of my old 400RB & 800RB I'll be sold on it!
7. VERY interested in this.... but will prob wait for the 2nd or 3rd generation in a few years once any problems etc are ironed out...
8. Nice score!
9. Stuart is a legend. A lovely man who I've had the pleasure of meeting on a few occasions..... and one who not only cares about his instruments, but also his customers. The customer service he and PJ provide is second to none!
10.
Personally, I'd pay to see cetera doing a dep in a big band whilst sporting the full Simmons get up!
I'd play Van Morrison's 'Moondance' in full get-up just for you Bilbo
11.
Not read the whole thread but the best tribute band I ever saw many moons ago was dressed to kill a Kiss tribute and "Gene Simmons is a BC member how cool is that
Cheers chap! That's me Doing a tribute properly is about so much more than just playing the songs..... it's about making the effort with the 'look' and/or 'production', using the same instruments and recreating the 'vibe' of the original act amongst other things....
12. My February order can't come quick enough!
13. Just ordered mine. First batch have all sold out within 2 days so mine will be in Feb batch....
14. Yep, tried that..... I decided to try the MXR as a shop local to me had it..... and if that didn't work then I'd have to take a long trip to Bass Direct for the Octabvre.... Luckily the MXR was great, brilliant tracking, no distortion and a cool sound so I went with that. Cheers all for you suggestions...
15. I'll take it. PM'd
16. I do have my Compressor (Empress) before it but it still farts out.....
17. So, I have a lovely old Boss OC-2 pedal which gives me smooth, clean 1-octave down tones when using my Fender & Tokai passive basses. However, when I plug my Haz-loaded US Spectors in it becomes distorted and if I plug an 18v Tonepump loaded Euro Spector in it becomes distorted with terrible tracking. Does anyone have a real world experience/recommendations for a nice OC-2 look clean octave pedal which can handle the higher output of active basses (in particular Spectors or others with very high output)? For clarification - I'm not looking for mad synth octave bass sounds - just nice clean 1 octave down action... I've been pointed towards the 3Leaf Octabvre... (very expensive) and the MXR.... but don't want to waste time/risk purchasing something completely unsuitable. Cheers!
18. Nice! Sadly I have no need for the extra string....
19. I'll bite...... as per the previous post - Spector. From the very start (& even when owned by Kramer for a few years) they have always had one constant guiding their product. Stuart Spector himself. He's always ensured that anything with his name on it is of a high standard at ALL price points. The man is a legend..... and a master of customer service too!
20. Bump! One of these just sold on ebay in the US for over $1100....
21. Mark sold me his Gator shallow rack. Great item and fab communication. Cheers mate!
22. The customer service and personal touch they always have are just a couple of the reasons I swear by Spector. They look and sound just how I want them to, play like butter and make me smile every time I pick them up.... PJ and Stuart are legends!
23. I'll take it mate. Please PM me with your address/phone details

Love my 400RBs and 800RBs but had no problems save the FX loop fix. May be worth contacting Surrey Amps or Guitar Aid to see what they say?
