1. *WITHDRAWN* Can't face parting with it! Well known for its incredible tone and volume in such a lightweight and portable package (it has handles AND casters - despite being a one arm lift!), this cab is in excellent condition. I've only gigged this lightly in theatre settings and it's never been gigged in anger. Being full range it covers every style with ease, from deep rich traditional tones to hi-fi funk or growling rock. Comes complete with a ROQSOLID cover. Spec: Power Handling RMS - 600 W Frequency ±/ 10db 0- 42-18K Hz Sensitivity 1W/1M - 101 db Nominal Impedence - 4 ohm Crossover Point - 4 K Hz Weight Lbs. - 47 Dimensions HxWxD - 31" x 21 1/4" x 16 1/2" Collection preferred from Guildford, Surrey area but may deliver within 50 or so miles for petrol costs. Payment by cash or bank transfer please. NO trades. Please see my extensive positive feedback for assurance of a clean and honest transaction. Cheers!
2. Time to clear out some wonderful gear to make room for some equally wonderful incoming gear! With that in mind, here is an absolute MONSTER of an amp..... the US made, indestructible & bomb proof Carvin B1500 head. This Amp is not that well known in the UK due to poor distribution of the Carvin brand - unbelievable once you hear, see and feel this amp in action! It's fantastically easy to get a great sound - just plug in your bass, set the eq flat and hear the full and clear tones ring out. You need more headroom? You will never need more than this provides..... 700w into 8ohms, 1250w into 4ohms and 1900w into 2 ohms! Whatever cab or combination of cabs you care to use - this amp can cover it with plenty to spare. Being a monoblock there's no need for bridging of 2 power amps etc either. This thing can destroy and outlive pretenders such as the Hartke LH1000 at 20 paces The drive control does a reasonable imitation of a 'valve' sound at any volume.... but the amp is more than capable of being used at lower volumes too - providing a true and honest sound. The manual is available at carvinaudio.com should you have any further questions. The photos show the amp mounted in a flight case but this is not included in the sale. Pricewise I’m after just *£SOLD subject to payment* (cash on collection or bank transfer) and would obviously prefer pickup from the Guildford area but will consider delivering within a 50 mile radius for petrol costs. Please see my extensive positive feedback for assurance of a clean and honest transaction. Cheers! 3.
Now a GK800rb into an SVT 810 to me is a great combination, one of my favourite rigs I've played through, all our tastes are different so doubtless people will disagree
THIS...... a great combination!
4. Welcome to the Spector club. Once you discover their magic "you can check out - but you can never leave"

Feedback for ikay

Bought a 2u rack from Ian. Great communication and a fab piece of kit. Highly recommended :-)
6. Looking forward, as always to seeing and playing the new Spector basses..... maybe the new GK Plex..... and definitely the new Darkglass amp. Apart from that, I will have earplugs in and desperately trying to avoid the slapfest nonsense it normally descends into....
7. Gorgeous bass..... If I didn't already have 5 white Spectors I'd be biting your arm off! Have a free bump
8. Yes, sorry...... just haven't been able to get pics yet.
9. I messaged the seller asking how he knew it was made in Korea, if it was stamped in neck joint or cavity with 'made in Korea'... and what the serial number was..... His reply - "because my neighbour says so and it looks well made". Well there's reassurance for you!
10. No major GAS for now The only thing I'm really interested in is the new Spector Timbre acoustic bass (http://www.spectorbass.com/Timbre) Other than that - I wouldn't mind a used USA ultraviolet qulted maple (dark purple) Spector NS2 if one came up for an affordable price....
11.
Love the Doobies rhythm unit, particularly on What were once Vices are now Habits album
Tiran is a monster bassist.... and a helluva nice guy. As a huge Doobie fan I've been honoured to get to know him as a personal friend, visit his house and play on his bass collection! He almost exclusively plays fretless these days and builds his own frankenstein basses..... I LOVE his playing on all the albums - but the Tom Johnston era (particularly Vices & Stampede) is my fave. He prefers his own playing on the 'Michael McDonald' One Step Closer though....
12. Congrats! I never should have sold mine.... used to have a lovely dark blue one
Depending on your budget there are a couple of options and generally Spectors are of great value at every price level from Korean made Legends, through Czech made Euros to the US made top of the range basses. I personally use a couple of Euro basses and they are the best basses for me. i've had 50+ basses throughout the years and these are the most suitable for my playing style. I really love the ergonomics and the distinct sound. I would not say it's a hifi sound, depends a lot on which model, which pickup option we are talking about. The neck is not chunky at all....but it is quite subjective anyway.
THIS ^^^ The best all-round basses for build, sound, playability, value for money etc I've EVER played in my 30+ years.... and I've played or owned most of the top makes in that time. Add to the above the BEST and most personal customer service I've ever had from an instrument company and I'd say you're onto a winner.... They also look sexy lol!
17. These have been out for a couple of months. Hoping to see one or more in Bass Direct so I can try them out.... or maybe at the Bass Show. Getting great reviews on the US bass sites though!
18. Bought a great SSD bass from Niels! Fantastic communication and the bass was sent very well packed. Highly recommended! Thanks Niels!
19. Hi mate, I have no personal experience but have only heard good things. Request to join the wonderful 'Spector Bass Nation' on Facebook and there's sure to be someone helpful on there who can give you a first hand review. Gary
20. That's gorgeous! Congrats
21.
Special discount if you'll give me some G Simmons tips!
What kind of discount? ...and what tips?!
