"Do Not Cross" or "Do Not Enter" tape, taped across the front of stage between PA stands.

I find a good 2x12 reproduces everything I need, whether in a rock show or a disco/pop function band. My cab of choice is the now discontinued GenzBenz Neox 2x12. Full range, bass ports, tweeter, 600W at 4ohms and a relatively lightweight.

I'll wait for the disappointed people to sell on their ones for around £500

I imagine we're just underwhelmed by the influx of Tik-Tokers, 'influencers' and other social media nobodies and prefer to find our bass heroes through their actual music giving us goosebumps etc?

It's still her middle name. Her birth name is Tabitha.

Just for clarity, her name is Tabitha Blu Detiger. She has chosen to reframe it as Blu DeTiger because it's obviously more memorable. Not sure what that contributes to this discussion but hey-ho!

Tyketto with support from Little Caesar and Dan Byrne at 1865 in Southampton last night. Fantastic venue with great sound and lights. Dan Byrne was a revelation.... cracking original rock songs and my old band mate Glenn played a blinder on guitar. Haven't seen Little Caesar in probably 30 years but they still rock hard in their sleazy AC/DC-ish way and were very entertaining. Tyketto were wonderful as always. I first saw them 35 years ago and have followed them ever since. Singer Danny Vaughn, now 63, still sounds just as good, if not better, than he did back then. He has no right to such amazing vocal pipes! Lovely to see Chris Childs (Thunder etc) on bass and to catch up with him for a pint afterwards too. Splendid evening

Just to let you all know that there won't be a SE Bass Bash this year. We're currently considering the possibility of doing something in the Spring of next year instead.

That's my fave line to use. I also use it with bassists in support bands who turn up at a gig but conveniently have forgotten their bass/amp or cab. When I was in the KISS tribute band we had pyro on stage and put notices on the PA cab to stay away from the edge of the stage. Once, at a gig in South Shields, two numpties decided they wanted to sing on the chorus of a song so clambered up onto the stage just as some pyro went off behind us (luckily nowhere near them). That was enough for me and I downed bass and headed to the dressing room while my bandmates stood there perplexed. I refused to perform until the in-house Promoter came and saw me and got his act together/sorted security.... It was a tense half hour of no band onstage but I'd do it again every time. The stage area is sacred ground and NO punter shall enter it without permission.

Never heard of her. I love it when press releases put things like 'taking the music world by storm'.... 🤣 Nice looking bass though....!
