1.
Cracker!
Cheers chap! It certainly is....
2. If I didn't have some other purchases I WOULD take this - they're getting rare! New GKs just don't sound as good....
3. Have a bump for the BEST amp for sale on Basschat... I've got two (they're THAT good) and wish I'd played them all my bass playing years!
4. The bass IS active.... and believe it or not there is a volume control for the P pickups on the E/A side and a volume control for the P pickups on the D/G side which is unusual/cool! The third volume control is for the J pickup...
5. Cheers all! It's a naturally aged cream pearl now.... not really yellow as such...
6. Hi Mike, No thanks, sale only...
7. The interest is there Dave, but no biters yet. I won't be reducing the price on this so anyone circling needs to bite soon!
8. Lovely bass..... tuners need to be moved into correct position rather than Warwick style though
9. Cheers chap! Yep, and it's mint/showroom condition. Great rock bass and as first in the country it's pretty unique at the moment!
10. Cheers! Yep, she is a beauty for sure & full of such great tones!
11. Currently playing mine through an original GK800RB (or Sansamp RBI/RPM with Peavey DPM Power Amp) into a GenzBenz Neox212 cab. Grind & punch heaven! :-)
12. Best basses I've EVER owned/played (second only to my '80s NS2's....). To my mind nothing comes close in build/sound quality and overall feel to a Spector. That's why I endorse them and currently own more than 15+ Spectors....
13. I always struggle when I hear grown men/women say phrases like "I'm allowed....." You don't/shouldn't need permission as long as you have the common sense not to get into financial trouble as a result....
14. As long as the bills are paid what I then do with my spare money is my business......and noone else makes 'rules' for me or they'd find themselves out on their ear....
15. Ah, the lovely Hamer.....
16. Gorgeous colour! Congrats Dave!
17. Cheers Andy. Yes. this is a different and very special beast!
18. It certainly is mate! A real 'rock' bass!
19. Ah yes, I've seen that old ad before, though it say he's playing an XB200 model (which he ISN'T). The pickups/control layout are very different on his prototype sig model to the lesser XB200 production model....
20. Sadly due to a couple of very special high-end purchases and an unhealthy VISA card I’m having to let some of my other basses go…. So what do we have here then? Well, this is a brand new/mint & unplayed Spector Legend 4X bass. I only just got this at the end of last year direct from the distributor and have yet to play it out! Fans of the Thunderbird or Nikki Sixx ‘Spectorbird’ will love this variation on the classic Thunderbird shape. This bass is in a beautiful black satin quilt stain and features a Maple body with a genuine Maple Quilt top and 3-piece Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are EMG SSDs, which Spector describes as having a little more midrange than the EMG HZ passive humbuckers powered by the Spector Tonepump Jr preamp. The black bridge & hardware are heavy duty and the bass is of 24 fret 34” scale. The bass is relatively lightweight with and a very comfortable satin feel neck. Tones are full and present and range from deep bass to a hi-fi zing with plenty of midrange growl to hand. I'm looking for *WITHDRAWN - FOR NOW* . NO trades. Can be picked up from Central London or Guildford or I can next-day courier for £25.
