1. Nope.... I've always chosen well
2. I'll take them! PM incoming...
3. As said before, he's a nice bloke..... but this is horrendous sh*te. I'm not sure how this style of playing is supposed to promote/advertise/sell Rotosound strings to the masses? If anything, from people I've spoken with, it has the opposite effect....
4. No FX loop or Tuner out?
5.
They aren't just good pop tunes - technically they are interesting as well. Mike Batt had a knack of bringing non-mainstream musical writing to the masses, albeit subtly hidden in catchy tunes. All sorts of genres are included from Mozart to Reggae to Barbershop, many on a single album. And yes. I have Womble vinyl. And if I were to be visiting the mudpit at Worthy Farm, would be wombling along to their stage in plenty of time!
+1,000,000 to all of this....
6.
I'd rather see the Wombles than 95% of the sh*t they have on at Glastonbury.
Word
7.
Just been to specsavers for a free hearing test after reading what everyone put on here. I've been playing about 15 years, not at excessive volumes but certainly amplified and I've got some moderate hearing damage at higher frequencies. Ordered a pair of the molded ear defenders. The filters are er9 or er15, I can't remember! Since I sing quite a lot in the band as well as play bass, apparently they're good for that. £129 well spent in my opinion. That is if they work!
Me too, but at Boots. I've lost some higher frequencies in my left ear - funnily enough the side facing my drummer/his cymbals! Ordered some new ACS Pro-17's for about the same cost. Should be here within a couple of weeks
8. STUNNING, Lorne!

Trade Tang

A couple of friends of mine bought some tasty flame-topped Les Paul fakes from TradeTang and they're lovely to play...and VERY convincing! Regardless of the legalities of such instruments, more of a worry is that there seems to be a lot of scamming on that site - google it...
14.
A Fender doesn't look right without a scratchplate.
It looks better, particularly on a Jazz bass...
15. Saw this: http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/wal-4-st...guitar/81371603 Bargain I thought, so I made contact.... His reply: Hi , The guitar is still available for sale, It is in perfect condition. I have worked in UK for the last 2 years and I've purchased the guitar there. My company wanted me back home, so currently I'm in Bergamo ,Italy and the guitar is currently here with me. I can ship the guitar from here directly to your home address and I am also willing to cover all delivery expenses. I look forward to your reply Regards Paul Morena You've advertised it as 'London' on Gumtree, yet the bass isn't here.....but you're willing to pay shipping etc out of the goodness of your heart?!? Wow! Hold on, you also said in the advert that you bought it in 1995.... but here you say you got it in the UK within the last 2 years... You'll be asking for Western Union payment next! Regardless, I told him that a biker mate of mine lives in Bergamo and will pick it up if he gives me his address. Funnily enough he's now gone VERY quiet!
16. I'll take it - will PM you to arrange meet up.
17. Twat: "You guys were AWESOME!! I never expected you to look and sound so good... and I can't believe you did the firebreathing, blood spitting, smoking guitar, rockets and pyro!! Immense....!! The best tribute show I have EVER seen in a club - and maybe even better than the real thing!! One criticism though, if you don't mind....?" Me: "Thanks mate! Sure... go ahead...." Twat: "You need a little more hair on your chest...." Me: *jaw drops in disbelief*
18. Twat: "Nice bass..... is that a 'Warwick'"? Me: "No, it's a Spector" Twat: "Oh, is that like a cheap Warwick copy or something?" Me: *lifts bass above head like a samurai sword and prepares to swing......*

20. Mmmm.... more Wal goodness
21.
It must be my Friday afternoon mood, but the idea of Neil Peart being relegated to percussion in favour of double drummers made me chuckle (no offence to all the percussionists out there...). Are you sure he'd take the job?
It's his own fault.... he acually describes himself as a 'percussionist' rather than a drummer!
22.
You NEED to post a price.
He did...
