1. Plenty! Anything off of 'Royal Scam' is great ('Don't Take Me Alive', 'Caves of Altamira' etc) and I personally love the first two albums ('Can't Buy A Thrill' & 'Countdown To Ecstacy'). 'Aja', 'Katy Lied' and 'Pretzel Logic' albums are very good too. I was never a big fan of their 'Gaucho' album or the more recent stuff...
2.
Check out our recent updates on Twitter and Facebook… may the conversation and speculation continue.
All I'm seeing is SPAM. The only conversation is about your annoying clogging up of the forum with pointless 'teasers'...
3.
entertainment and a great show - and not just for Kiss fans
*blush*
4.
Are there debates about integrity for orchestral players, who play the material as accurately as possible? Maybe period-instrument orchestras are looked down on as being the 'tributes' of the orchestral world?
Not at all, only amongst the bedroom musicians on forums like this....
Re. tribute bands, as a punter I want to be entertained and have a good night. Some tribute bands do, some don't. I once saw a Coldplay tribute (not my choice) and the best reaction they got was during the encore when they played 'I believe in a thing called love'
Lol! But you loved us though didn't you?
AFAIA the tribute band started in Australia, when due to the original acts not touring there, people made their own entertainment.
That's right mate. Australia got so few International touring acts that the local musicians started forming 'tributes' to give the baying public the songs/entertainment that they wanted....
5. There's plenty of other basses/amps etc you have that need her to sell them for you. Well, what are you waiting for! Get to it man!
6. That's a beauty mate! Has one too many strings for me though...
7. Gorgeous bass! Congrats!
8.
I just assumed you'd be in the full GS Kiss regalia, mate, don't disappoint us!
Lol! Can't I have a day off?!?
9. I would think that sometimes when you need a large amount of money relatively quickly it's easier (though no less painful!) to liquidate one 'high-end/high value' bass than try to sell many lower-end/lower value basses.
10. Just out of interest will we each get a badge with our username/real name on it? Just for ease of identifying each other etc. Sorry if this has been covered in the past but this is the first one I can actually make!
11. Paul, don't forget to bring that black Scavenger with you
12.
Headstock detail - it really is in superb condition.
Hmm... this pic's not really doing it for me... there's something missing...
13. The exploitation of that bass is DISGRACEFUL! Send it to me immediately (with the tasty 'bird') lol!
14. Have a free bump for my fave cab of all time.... at a GREAT price! Especially if those speakers are original EV's?!
15. Bumping for our November gigs! November 5th Newcastle ‘Legends’ 6th Glasgow Garage ‘Rock RadioBonfire Bash’ – w/Gallus Cooper, Judus Beast & Non-Jovi 19th Witney – ‘Fat Lils’ 20th Swindon ‘The Furnace’ (different set list to Witney as venues are reasonably close)
16. M original sunburst pre-Kramer 'Spector NS2'.... My first Spector.... and it would be the 'one'...
17. +1 to all that Wil said... I personally prefer the Spector.... the only Warwick Streamer that would come close (IMHO) is an original 80's one...
18. Chicago, Doobie Brothers or KISS.... Or Toy matinee (if Guy Pratt didn't mind stepping aside!)
19.
Say what you like about the monstrous record companies of yore but they acted as a fairly efficient sh*t filter. Now that every self-deluding spod and his mate has got garageband, the netz is an arse-flood of derivative, badly executed material with all the appeal of a nasty case of projectile leprosy. I'd be perfectly happy to see a revival of interest in 'Originals' if the output was any good. It isn't.
+1 to all that!
20. Get a Sansamp RBI or RPM and a sufficiently loud Power Amp
21. I'd love it, if I could justify it mate!
