1. QUOTE (cetera @ Apr 23 2009, 10:45 AM) Must....resist.....must....resist.....
Get in there my son.
Resistance was futile....
 2.
You could always throw it in the back of the van, and hand it over to me at The Office gig on friday night.
Go on then.... it's yours
 3. Must....resist.....must....resist.....
 4.
Great little venue. I'm sure it'll go down a treat!!
Cheers chap! Hope we'll see you in Sutton-In-Ashfield in October? You must let me know when you're playing down south with the Dan Collective as well....!
 5. Had a STORMING show in Glasgow last week! Such a HIGH! So....Bumping for our show at 'The Office' in South Shields this Friday night!
 6.
Just took delivery of the shuttle max 12.0 yesterday. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. First impressions are that it's incredibly light, all the switchgear feels solid and even though there's so many knobs etc on it, it's quite a clean and uncluttered. I would have tested it last night but i went into a shop yesterday to buy a couple of speakon cables and the 2 assistants were like 'what are speakon cables?' so I'll have to track some down today. Cheers, John
Looking forward to hearing your review of this amp in action!
 7. I will never be as good as my gear.... but I have great fun trying! AND I try to play all of it at some point....
 8. Hey James! Good luck with the show! I'm the friend of Guy & Iz that met you after your gig at the Comedy Bar. Can't make this one but all the best!
 9. I've got an old bass case that's shaped in an offset Jazz-kinda styley.... doesn't actually fit a Jazz Bass though. Free to a good home for anyone who can collect. GONE!!
 10.
This is purely theoretical. The phone rings tomorrow and you get offered a slot on a tour, but you have to be able to pack a bag and leave in say, a week, learning the basslines along the way. How many people are in a position to say yes straight away? If not, what would you have to sacrifice in order to say yes?
Depends how much dosh it's paying and what guarantees are given...
 11. Blimey, that's a bargain!! Don't need another at the mo.... and I'm buying a house, so that's me out.... but someone will score a great bass here!
 12.
I can't leave this hanging for weeks so if I have no joy on BC in a short while, I'll stick this on eBay and I'll split any profit made with Josh.
You might want to put a price then mate....
 13. Lovely, I has one of his Nightingale basses in this colour Have a free bump for a great bass...
 14.
I love the Billy Sheehan, even if the man is an ego on legs and the red Jazz is awesome.
Met the man MANY times and I can't imagine anyone coming across as LESS egotistical...
 15.
Master on full might be a little noisy. I can get mine to 3 o'clock before excessive hissing starts. But the Master should be as high as you can get it. Which one is "drive"??
Sorry, I meant 'tube gain'...
 16. Great collection! Loving the Zoot, Attitude & Infinity....!
 17.
Fast work indeed! I hear that this is going to a good home, which is after all what it deserves... Sorry you had to miss out Cetera, but honestly, do you really need two of these anyway?!
Need?? Nah.... Want? To stack vertically...and sonically 'destroy'!?!? Damn right!
 18. The other two secrets of great tone from this amp are: 1) The 'drive' (edit - I mean 'tube gain') control works in reverse i.e. with the 'tube gain' control at 7 o'clock (off) it is driving harder than at 5 o'clock (full on)... 2) Run the Master Volume on FULL and adjust the volume via your gain control... Seriously, try it...
 19.
ps. Cetera should be all over this any minute now!
I would have been but need money for house move
 20. Beautiful.... gotta love a white Jazz!
 21. I'll almost def take it.... if you can wait 4 weeks!?
 22.
From what i know they are the same bass, just assembled in Chez. Same preamp, and sound and finish. Just cheaper labour.
Not strictly true. Many of the US Spectors have the EMG or Aguilar preamp. Some have the tonepump though... Also, the wood is of a higher grade on US Spectors (e.g 5A instead of 2 or 3A). Nowt wrong with Euros though... and it's all semantics.
 23. If you require CASH sent through the post it's not really surprising is it? Many people don't like risking it....
 24.
Woohoo! Cracking! I love the smell of Indian in the morning... P
....washed down with a cobra beer for breakfast!
