I've signed it, but I did wonder why they want address details - probably so they know where to send the blackshirts to for some intense political debate at 4o'clock in the morning
It's so they can get a list together of everyone who plays a musical instrument in a pub/club etc (& therefore probably earns cash in hand). Expect a visit from the taxman shortly...

Got this through from Spector....Enjoy! This is to let all our friends have a preview of the exciting new instruments that we are debuting next week at the NAMM show in Ahaheim California. Spector has just debuted the Doug Wimbish Signature Model Euro Series Bass. The model renews a relationship between Doug and Spector that stretches back over 20 years of recording and touring. Doug has toured and recorded with numerous artists including Living Color, Mick Jagger, Carly Simon, Keb Mo, Tackhead Measurements for the neck were taken directly from Doug's late 1980's USA NS-2 bass. This neck was originally custom made to a narrower (1.5") nut width for Doug and the body was carved out of highly figured quilted maple. Highlights of the instrument include: Graphite reinforced 3 ply USA Rock Maple neck 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard with Mother of Pearl Spector inlays Gold plated hardware, Spector locking bridge, Schaller tuners and straplocks. Body wings laminated of Alder with a 4A Quilted Maple top EMG active P & J pickups Spector Tone Pump TM active EQ circuit High gloss amber finish Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original owner This model is also available as a hand crafted USA instrument. USA MSRP:$3699 Spector is now offering a signature bass from Ian Hill of Judas Priest. This Euro Series bass was developed with measurements taken directly from Ian's mid 1980's USA NS-2 bass. This somewhat thinner neck is graphite reinforced 3 ply Rock Maple with a 24 fret rosewood fretboard and Mother of Pearl inlays. 34" scale length. Gold Plated Hardware includes the Spector locking bridge and Schaller tuners and straplocks. The fully carved body is made up of alder with a soft maple top finished in solid high gloss black. Electronics include active EMG P & J pickups and the Spector TonePumpTM EQ circuit. The original owner is protected with a Limited Lifetime Warranty USA MSRP: $2699 Spector Basses is now offering for the first time a short scale USA bolt on neck bass. Known familiarly as "Shorty" the bass utilizes a 30 3/8" scale length 22 fret neck. The neck features a pau ferro fretboard on a 3 ply graphite reinforced hard maple neck. The original versions of this bass were built for Garry Tallent who has been using them for years on tour with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. The body is the original Spector ergonomically carved shape with a light weight mahogany core. It is available with a wide range of figured maple and exotic wood tops and stain colors. All hardware is black plated and the electronics consist of EMG pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3 active tone circuit. USA MSRP including hardshell case: $3249 Spector announces a new option of EMG MM4 and MM5 active pickups on both USA neck thru and bolt on neck models. These wide aperture pickups sense a longer area of the string and deliver a very wide range of fundamental and overtone signals. These pickups will primarily be place in the bridge position of the Spector basses and matched with a DC pickup in the neck position. The upcharge for this option is $200 on any of the standard model Spector handmade USA instruments.
I’m after an Ampeg SVT-3Pro in exchange for my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with the Genz Benz gig bag. I’ve been considering this for a while and have decided that I’d like a bit of the Ampeg growl back in my life after going from an all valve Ampeg rig to my super lightweight Genz Benz/Epifani rig about 3 or 4 months ago.
You couldn't get 'growl' from the GenzBenz?
As for the avatar - I know. Got to love that ass haven't you?
It certainly is a thing of beauty.... and belongs to Jessica Alba unless I'm much mistaken?

I really don't have GAS for much this year gear-wise.... A Fender 70's Classic Jazz in 3TSB would be nice..... as would an Epiphone Goth/ Nikki Sixx Thunderbird.... Amp-wise maybe a Genz Benz 750 or 1200 and another Genz Benz Neox212T Cab... but they're not really necessary. Believe it or not I can't think of another Spector I particularly want/need at the mo ... really!.....honestly..... (unless a good one at a rock bottom price comes along) Big purchase, hopefully, will be a house....

RIP Phil.... one of my faves & sorely missed to this day...

They are ALL things of beauty
Wow! Is that the 'Rocket' guitar?
It was one of his main gigging guitars.... but it did have a neck p/u surround taken from one of his smokers (complete with burn marks!).
-
Yeah, I hope they didn't pay too. It's an absolute dream to own a bit of 'KISStory' especially one of the stage used guitars. On a similar note I'm rather happy as I've just recieved some pics of the Axe bass I ordered! I'm am more than happy, especially how much it set me back
I used to own Ace's 3p/u '69 black Gibson Les Paul Custom, in it's original case, but I sold it on.... What 'Axe' have you ordered? The official 'Gene Simmons axe' or a custom build project?
For £3,600... if I a ) had the money and b ) knew that the auction was genuine would have very willingly paid every penny. Must be a scam though, I quite reasonably asked for the seller to send some more pics and I never even got dignified with a reply.
I bid up to just over £2000....just in case, you understand I'd willingly have paid more (if it had been genuine - which it quite obviously wasn't!) but no way I could afford it..... A huge scam... just hope the winning bidder didn't pay up!
