Always have done, always will do.
Why don't you choose to ignore it then? You don't have to answer.... In response to the OP.... I'm interested in what Taka plays as his basses look very unique...
 2.
Cetera I bet with all your Spectors you probally have a whole trilogy worth of stories to tell...
Trilogy of stories?!? I'm sure there are many more than that!!
 3. Great idea! Nice rig choice btw....
 4.
Reunited:
....and it has a beautiful story to go with it!

 8.
One of the others need a polish?
Lol!!! Something like that This is now mine

 11.
Journey are just awesome, quality players all round. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in June this year and was blown away by their performance. The new vocalist Arnett is every bit a match to Steve Perry's vocals. This band make the current crop i.e. Kaiser Chiefs, Artic Monkeys etc look very amateurish in their live performances and musical ability. The reason why a lot of the big live acts from way back (Toto, Foreigner, Tod Rundgren, Uriah Heep) are touring again is because people are becoming sick of the same old dross being played by the current crop of over hyped bands, and want to see seasoned musicians/vocalists who can actually play live. I'm not just into Rock, I'm also well into Soul,Funk, Jazz, Blues etc.
+1,000,000 to ALL of that....
 12. Bumping a great bass for a fellow BCer...
 13. There's NOWT wrong with classic era Journey.... great songs and supreme musicianship. You won't find a better, more soulful rock singer than Steve Perry, the guitarist Neal Schon is one of the all-time greats and there's not a drummer in the land that knows his chops who doesn't revere Steve Smith.... Through the years Ross mainly played a P-bass with J neck... then an Ovation Magnum...followed by a Steinberger and then a Greg Curbow custom. More recently he has taken to playing a Stingray.... The great thing about Ross tone-wise was that he found his niche within the EQ spectrum of the band. He never got lost in the bass drum, the keys or the guitar tone... This track was likely played on the Ovation Magnum, with a favoured rear pickup and a touch of chorus. EQ set to boost on the mids....
 14.
Of the T’bird type basses out there around that price, definitely my choice would be the Spector Rex (/Rex Brown) – especially in the “holoflash” finish like the pic. There was a 2nd hand 5-string recently in a local music shop for £350, sweet player and sounded v "rock" but with a modern “hi-fi” edge to it too.
+1.... I LOVE mine
 15.
Bet there's a Forumite somewhere interested in this (comes highly recommended by Cetera, me and others) http://www.electromusic.co.uk/product.php?...=820&page=1
BLIMEY!!! That's a STEAL!! Basically you get a SansAmp Bass Driver AND a SansAmp RPM preamp AND 300 watts for just double the price of a little BDDI box.... Highly recommended....!
 16. Dirty DC and Livewire are prob the best DC tribs in the UK at the moment.... Other recommended tributes include: Limehouse Lizzy Are You Experienced and of course...... the fabulous KISS tribute 'Dressed To Kill' who are not simply the 'best in the country'.... they are the "World's Longest Running KISS Tribute", "Europe's #1 KISS Tribute" and "the personal choice of Gene Simmons" ....but then I would say that
 17. GREAT bassist..... and at the time very similar in style to my fave bassist from another horn band - Peter Cetera from Chicago
 18. Can't believe this is still here.... Try Talkbass or the Spector yahoo forum.... you might get more interest from overseas....
 19.
Thought it was about time I added some pics of the beast I acquired in the Reverb sale 2 months ago....it's not possible to have too much Spector porn anyway.
That's a beauty Mike.... really must get off my arse and come visit the new baby! +1,000,000 on "never too much Spector porn"
 20.
+1 on BWB, but a mirror guard is so cool .......
+1
 21.
Point not missed here. But your comments gave the impression that he should have been playing something different. I figure that's entirely up to him, particularly in this context.
Everything anyone does is entirely up to them..... including the right to comment.
 22. Hmmm.... for many: Point = Missed As far as I can see, we were just commenting on the video as presented. Noone ever challenged/criticised/insulted Nigel's recorded or live career output.
 23.
I can't watch this as I'm at work, but I imagine I've seen this video already. Couple of things; firstly, he is endorsed by Rotosound to the point that he has been asked to demo their gear. Hands up who on here has been asked to demo anything? I'm not saying that if you haven't been asked to do so that you don't have the right to say anything negative, but lets put it into perspective here folks. Moreover, he's been asked to demonstrate what is possible with their gear. I think that whatever fretbroad w*nkery is used is therefore a pretty good advert!
If a clicking noise is a true demonstration of what is pssible with their gear.... yikes!
Secondly, do you think that having watched under 10 minutes of Nigel's demo playing time (I assume it's under 10 minutes), that you are qualified to judge, or even in a position to consider this as the sum total of his playing ability? I hope that you do not.
I don't believe anyone ever said that. They were commenting on THIS video specifically....
 24.
I wonder if amateur pilots visit discussion forums and slag off the Red Arrows for all that stupid aerial acrobatics and coloured smoke nonsense when they should be giving a solid demonstration of flying from A to B?
Bad analogy IMHO.... The Red Arrows are still giving a solid flying demonstration, just with added tricks. All I saw on that video was clickety-clack tricks with barely an audible bass note, melody or solid line underpinning it....
