I’m after an Ampeg SVT-3Pro in exchange for my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with the Genz Benz gig bag. I’ve been considering this for a while and have decided that I’d like a bit of the Ampeg growl back in my life after going from an all valve Ampeg rig to my super lightweight Genz Benz/Epifani rig about 3 or 4 months ago.
You couldn't get 'growl' from the GenzBenz?
As for the avatar - I know. Got to love that ass haven't you?
It certainly is a thing of beauty.... and belongs to Jessica Alba unless I'm much mistaken?

I really don't have GAS for much this year gear-wise.... A Fender 70's Classic Jazz in 3TSB would be nice..... as would an Epiphone Goth/ Nikki Sixx Thunderbird.... Amp-wise maybe a Genz Benz 750 or 1200 and another Genz Benz Neox212T Cab... but they're not really necessary. Believe it or not I can't think of another Spector I particularly want/need at the mo ... really!.....honestly..... (unless a good one at a rock bottom price comes along) Big purchase, hopefully, will be a house....

RIP Phil.... one of my faves & sorely missed to this day...

They are ALL things of beauty
Wow! Is that the 'Rocket' guitar?
It was one of his main gigging guitars.... but it did have a neck p/u surround taken from one of his smokers (complete with burn marks!).
Yeah, I hope they didn't pay too. It's an absolute dream to own a bit of 'KISStory' especially one of the stage used guitars. On a similar note I'm rather happy as I've just recieved some pics of the Axe bass I ordered! I'm am more than happy, especially how much it set me back
I used to own Ace's 3p/u '69 black Gibson Les Paul Custom, in it's original case, but I sold it on.... What 'Axe' have you ordered? The official 'Gene Simmons axe' or a custom build project?
For £3,600... if I a ) had the money and b ) knew that the auction was genuine would have very willingly paid every penny. Must be a scam though, I quite reasonably asked for the seller to send some more pics and I never even got dignified with a reply.
I bid up to just over £2000....just in case, you understand I'd willingly have paid more (if it had been genuine - which it quite obviously wasn't!) but no way I could afford it..... A huge scam... just hope the winning bidder didn't pay up!

Haha!! Definitely let me know when you're down this way....
That's an awesome tale! Nearly taking a biker-gang-beating, all in the name of Kiss merchandise. You definitely earned your Kiss Army membership with that...
+1,000,000!! Consider yourself a 'General' in the 'KISS Army'!

Now THAT'S a rig!!! I love my Genz Benz Neox212T and my Spectors..... so I can only imagine how immense they must sound through this head!!! GAS attack!! I wish you lived down the road from me so I could try it out!
I am pretty sure I saw you at The Robin in Brierly Hill many years ago. Great show. I used to be a full on pinball machine, doll and all the coloured vinyl owning member of the Kiss Army. I sold the lot and bought a MIJ P. I actually got chronically ripped off on the pinball front. I bought it for £150, sold it for £250 and then instantly discovered that they were changing hands for £600. Where was the interwebz then eh? Paul.
Ah yes, the Robin! We still play the Robin 2 in Bilston.... great venue! Sounds like you knew your KISS memorabilia though! I've got loads of their collectables, coloured vinyls, pic discs, dolls etc... and I still have my pinball machine. Cost me £300 a few years back, prob worth over £1000 now....

The photos ARE of the bass that Gene used.... but this seller doesn't have it. Notice he has ZERO feedback and is obviously out to scam. The ACTUAL bass sold for something like $25,000 at a US memorabilia auction a few years back to a big KISS fan in the US....
On a similar note, I was going through my old music magazines last week and came across a live review in Kerrang! from 94/95 for none other than Dressed to Kill! There was a great shot of 'Gene' leering at the camera and I think it was from a venue in London (the Forum?). I'm also pretty sure that it said Peter Criss (the real Peter Criss) played a couple of songs with the band. Does that ring any bells, Mr Cetera?
Ah yes, that was the KISS Expo at the Astoria 2 (now Mean Fiddler) with special guest Peter Criss (ex-KISS)! Our friend Dave Reynolds at Kerrang reviewed that... and gave us a great review... including mentioning how sh*t Peter was and how we looked relieved to have our own 'Peter' back on the drums! Good times
I guess it's tough as a KISS tribute band in the UK as they aren't at all popular over here compared to the US. To be honest, the only song of theirs that I know is that Crazy nights thing. They are one of those bands that I'm always thinking I should get their greatest hits and see what they are all about.
Aye, our attendances range from 70 people to 300 people.... enough to create some noise but not quite 'theatre' size. Personally, I'd say to give the'Greatest Hits' a miss and go straight for 'KISS Alive' & 'KISS Alive II'
What a bridge! I changed the strings on mine today to put a set of Elixirs on and the saddles fell out as I was doing it I had to reset the intonation which took me a while but these 'ere bridges bain't be for the faint hearted land lubbing bassist.
Ah, you've got to lock the bridge (use the allen key on the side lock) first....
