2. So, has the new amp arrived.... and what's the score?!?
3. Saw them at the Astoria on the Vivid tour... and the Marquee on the Time's Up tour. Great band. Must buy this DVD....!

5.
Yeh, I really like it there, it has a great stage and a cool atmosphere, even when there's no-one there! What's your band?
Europe's #1/The World's Longest Running KISS Tribute Band "Dressed To Kill"
6.
I like this picture 'cos you can see some of my board, and my bass looks great! Anyone else play the Limelight in Crewe?
Oh yes, play it twice a year and have done for probably 10 years or so... I played it last Friday actually.... great venue!!
7. Ooooh! I LIKE that black one.... Oh no... more GAS!
8. Prob around £400 - £450 I would think...
9. I have an original Ibanez Iceman 'Paul Stanley' guitar from 1978 and it is one of the best guitars I've ever owned/played. Never had the bass version..... though I have been tempted by the dual soapbar / bound-body versions from a few years back.
10.
I'm holding out for one of the Thunderbirds you have
Sorry buddy, I ain't gonna be selling those! However, type 'Fernandes Thunderbird' into eBay (worldwide search) and you should see two on there at bargain prices. One is a bolt-on with passive pickups and a full size body, the other is a more expensive thru neck with active pickups and a slightly reduced (3/4 size) body. Both are superb....! The seller (Mustang_Axeslinger) is the same guy I bought mine from and he comes highly recommended. Let me know how you get on....
11. In a nutshell.... 4 string basses aren't going anywhere. Neither are double basses. The White Stripes sound like my cousins band in their garage (there's two of them and they're 11 years old)....
12. Where's Lorne? I'm sure he'd have something to say....!
13. More Wal loveliness..... very nice my friend!
14.
OMG - nearly had an accident. How can you play Spectors when you have that?
VERY easily..... Spectors are IMHO the ULTIMATE 'rock' bass.... no question..... For fretless though.... You can't beat a Wal...
15. In addition to many of those mentioned above I would add: Peter Cetera & Danny Seraphine (Chicago) Tiran Porter & John Hartman/Keith Knudsen (Doobie Brothers) Guy Pratt & Brian McLeod (Toy Matinee) Ross Valory & Steve Smith (Journey)
16. Chicago..... just to get to play all those cool old Peter Cetera basslines.... with the horn section! I couldn't manage to sing his amazing vocals AND play at the same time though! The Doobie Brothers.... to relive the classic Tiran Porter basslines & good-time harmony vocals! KISS.... to experience being part of the whole stageshow...and the 'encores' back at the hotel afterwards...
17. The Wal MK1 Geddy Lee that's on the 'For Sale' section.....!!
18. The difference between the NSCR and the NSCRFM was simply in the quality of the maple. Both were maple thru-neck but the 'FM' models had a flamed maple top whereas the others had a more standard top. Electronics in both were either 'Aguliar' or EMG 'Spector' circuits. The newer LX models are thru-neck maple with alder bodysides with a slice of walnut through the middle (to increase the 'fundamental') and a maple top. They have the new Spector 'Tonepump' circuit in them. These basses are slightly lighter and take some taming!
19.
(I always accidentally type Enter Shakira!!!)
That's just wishful thinking....!
20. Jeff Genzler and his crew have an EXCELLENT reputation for superb Customer Service. Sounds like they are proving that very point right now.... ^_^
21. Here's mine.... A Pedulla Buzz Deluxe lined fretless (yep, it's in black) And A Wal Mk1 un-lined fretless with stained maple facings...
22. I would give a miss to anything more than a pedal made by them....
Cambridge would be better, or at least a place off the M1 or A1.
But then that would almost be more of a 'Midlands Bash'...
24. Does anyone know if there's much difference in quality between Japanese Fenders from the mid 90's and the ones today? I've seen a mid 90's Japanese Fender P bass for under £250 and was wondering what the score was on these...
25. With my KISS Tribute Band 'Dressed To Kill' I've been lucky enough to share the stage and play alongside various KISS members (Bruce Kulick, Mark St John, Peter Criss & Eric Singer). I've also performed for KISS members Gene Simmons & Ace Frehley and manager Bill Aucoin. We have had some famous names attend & watch our shows as well..... including Rick Savage, Joe Elliott & Phil Collen (Def Leppard), the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Danger Danger, Terrorvision & Wolfsbane. With other bands I have been lucky enough to perform on the same bill with Jethro Tull, Paradise Lost, Saxon, Paul Young, Beverly Craven, Motorhead, Dio, Tigertailz. I have also performed for Jimmy Page.....& Rick Wright (Pink Floyd)
