Sod’s Law… Dream bass is never going to appear!

Buy the other one and sell the 1st one, albeit at a slight loss... -
Reminds me of the time I played with the KISS tribute at a biker rally the day after Dumpy's Rusty Nuts had played (& stayed over). Our dressing room was the old caravan that Dumpy had stayed in overnight.... man that thing STUNK.... sweat, leather, alcohol and the WORST tramp smell you've ever encountered.... How we didn't catch anything is beyond me! 🤣

I believe you need the Euro 5LX-TW version which has splitable coils. One like this: https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/Spector-Euro-5-LX-TW-Black-Cherry/art-BAS0003484-000 See either the TW or TWX pickups here: https://www.emg-pickupsonline.co.uk/category/bass/soap-bars/5-string-soap-bars/

I plead guilty as charged, m'lud....

I saw Belinda Carlisle & The Christians earlier this week at G-Live in Guildford. Great to see my old mate @Bobby Kon bass with The Christians! He played up a storm, including duplicating some classic Pino fretless on his MusicMan 😎 Met Belinda's bassist Andy Carr afterwards too..... great guy and player who also performs with ABC and Go West 🎸

Updated tonewoods and colours.

A ltd production run of Spector Euro-X's is incoming...

I'm not 100% sold on either tbh. And I'd have to put crown inlay stickers on it otherwise it looks like a W*****k copy 🤣 -
The tobaccoburst we got made looks nicer than this new run. But the Pulse II is an awesome bass.... I'd venture to even say it's the best value for money Spector out there...
-
I prefer our custom order colours tbh.... but nice to see they've bowed to pressure with a stock ltd run https://www.musicinstrumentnews.co.uk/2023/02/23/limited-edition-euro-x-bass-series-from-spector/
-
For those that missed our custom run, there will be some more in diff finishes available soon... I prefer ours tbh https://www.musicinstrumentnews.co.uk/2023/02/23/limited-edition-euro-x-bass-series-from-spector/

Also, if you go the roof box route PLEASE ensure you lock it! I had a VERY scary experience once while driving our band van when the roof box of a car in front exploded open at 70+mph littering the motorway with detritus including, but not limited to, a duvet and some sleeping bags which went under our van wheels at said high speed and very nearly killed us....
-
It's just a flesh wound.... 🤣
-
Yup, there's a reason why they're the best 😎

Graeme purchased a preamp & set of pickups from me. Great comms and fast payment. Recommended! Deal with confidence

I have 30+ Spector and none have that issue. Could be a rare off-one or could be something you're doing/you've done or the environment.
-
The GK stuff is great. I have the Legacy800 (non Fusion) head and pair it with a 4ohm 600W 2x12 Neo. Sounds fantastic and plenty loud.
-
Yep, I have one in ultraviolet. Beautiful bass, lush roasted maple neck and classic Spector tones from the EMGs etc. To my mind they're the best all round 'value for money' Spectors you can currently buy...
-
Reasonable. It dives, but not as bad as a TBird. Nothing a good grippy strap won't sort...
-
Oh yes indeedy! It's actually somewhere between Ian Hill and a normal Euro LX.

What's your 'Hey, the bass player's here' lick?

He didn't have a kind word to say about you either.... 🙄😕
