  1. Bought a tablet holder from John. Great comms and fast postage. Recommended
  2. Of course! After all, what's the point of it all if not for GAS?!?! 😉
  3. Debut gig/1st album launch party by 'Big Horizon' (which is 5 of the guys from Jeff Lynne's ELO and Take That live bands) at Pizza Express Live in Holborn, London. Great original music in the Hall & Oates, Doobie Bros, Ambrosia etc 'yacht rock' style played by some of the finest musicians and singers on the live circuit. Had a nice chat with frontman Iain Hornal (who also appears with 10CC) and bassman extraordinaire Lee Pomeroy afterwards too. Fantastic stuff!
  4. I don't, because I don't have an audio system of decent enough quality to make the most of it. Having heard his fantastic work with the classic 'Chicago II' album though I'm sure it's excellent!
  5. If that's the Genz Neox 212 cab then you've scored big time! Fantastic cab with a great amp. Congrats!
  6. Seems to be £20+ a ticket and has Yolanda Charles, Phil Mann and a few others lined up. Not sure I'd pay that....
  7. "Oops I donated again!" as Britney once sang......
  8. This Friday night the debut gig by 'Big Horizon' at Pizza Express, Holborn, London. Gig is SOLD OUT in advance because Big Horizon is basically the guys in Jeff Lynne's ELO (without Jeff)! I'm looking forward to seeing bassist Lee Pomeroy do his stuff!
  9. Thanks all! I've found a local handyman who loves messing with stuff like this and he opened it up, identified the broken connections and mended it better and stronger than ever for just £20!
  10. Connolly Hayes Band in Hampton. Amazingly tight, funky, soulful, bluesy band who have no right to be as fantastic as they are!
  11. As has already been said, that's NOT Nick Wilkinson. It's David Page.
  12. @flippyfloop - I see you liked my post! Is it because of the flip(py)flo(o)p finish on it? 😂🤣😁
  13. Here for your delectation is an original 'top of the range' 1991 Ibanez Soundgear SR1000 PN bass in the rare 'purple neon' (PN)/flipflop finish! The colour changes from a warm pink through purple (main colour) to a hue of blue and it looks fab under stage lights! I obtained this lovely bass about a year ago, but sadly it's not getting a look in due to my Spector fetish 😉🤦‍♂️🤣 Time for someone else to enjoy it! Ash body Slim and thin Maple neck Ebony fingerboard 24 frets/34" scale Accu-cast B-IV bridge Gotoh machineheads Ibanez AFR PJ active pickups Active 2 band EQ, vol & balance controls Condition is generally very good for its age. A few small scratches & lacquer chips as would be expected and can be be seen in the pics. Price is what I paid for it, which is a very reasonable £500. The ONLY trade I'd be interested in is a Squier 40th Anniversary Precision in Black & Gold with blocks and £200 cash. Payment by cash on collection from Sandhurst/Camberley area... Paypal (you pay fees) or direct bank transfer. I can ship with courier of your choice at your cost (I have shipping boxes). Please see my very extensive positive feedback thread for assurance of a clean, honest transaction.
  14. I've decided to move this beautiful ESP Ltd Surveyor '87 on as it's not getting used. I bought this bass new approx 9 months ago for an 80's sunset-strip style cover band that sadly never materialised... and so it has sat in my collection, unused(!), ever since. It is therefore completely MINT, not a scratch to be found... and even still has the protective film on the scratchplate! Alder body Gotoh 201B-4 bridge Seymour Duncan Vintage P/Jazz pickups Passive vol/blend/tone controls Bolt-on maple neck 21 frets and 34" scale Macassar ebony fretboard 400mm fingerboard radius and thin U contour 42mm nut Weight 9lbs This bass cost me £900 new and they don't make this colour anymore. It was a limited edition a few years ago and does not appear on their website anymore. i'm looking for a very reasonable £650 £600 (PRICE DROP!) by cash on collection, Paypal (you pay fees) or direct bank transfer. The ONLY trade I'd be interested in is a Squier 40th Anniversary Precision in Black & Gold with blocks and £300 cash. I can courier at your (agreed) cost... I have shipping boxes.... or you can collect from Sandhurst/Camberley area. Please see my very extensive positive feedback thread for assurance of a clean, honest transaction.
  15. SORRY! Accidentally posted my old post from previous page again. Ignore....
  16. A little bit of neck dive, but not T-bird bad... nothing a good wide strap won't cure.
  17. That happened with my theatre show a few years ago. I started the band with the drummer.... and we spent a year getting the right line-up in place. 2nd guitarist comes in, says he has lots of spare time so can book the gigs. Very kind.... and the 7 of us go out and play some amazing shows around the country with great reviews mentioning our authenticity, attention to detail, big bv's, multi-layered parts etc. Without our knowledge 2nd guitarist decides he wants ALL the money so starts a 2nd band doing the EXACT same set list but with just 4 people and a box of lies on click (containing keys, bv's, additional gtr etc). Tells all venues we have split up but he has a new band doing the same thing which can take over all dates without interruption We lose ALL our hard won shows to his new band and we have to try to start all over again.... then Covid hits. Post-Covid he takes over where he left off. Venues weren't interested in our side of the story, they just want a band playing those songs. Not many people I really wouldn't p*ss on if they were on fire, but he's one...
  18. My transmitter sadly seems to have an intermittent fault (sound dropouts) around the cable input on the transmitter. It's not the cable as I have 3 (incl Desgnacables) and they all do it. Anyone have any suggestions for what I can do, apart from buy a whole new system. No point buying just a transmitter (approx £300) as I may as well just buy the whole new GLXD+ system at that price...😭
  19. I depped for the 1st time with the fantastic Duran Duran/Spandau Ballet tribute show 'From Gold To Rio' at Market Drayton theatre on Saturday night. Great band, soooooooo much fun and basslines that kept me concentrating for the full 2 hours! Looking forward to my next dep with them in December now!
  20. Alice Cooper at Hammy-O last night. Seen him numerous times over the last 30 years and last night was one of the best. Fantastic set list and the band were tight and rocking. Great sound too. Loved it
