  1. As I said above. PM me
  2. Could anyone (who I haven't talked to about it in the last 2 or 3 days) who would be interested in obtaining one of a limited run of Spector Euro X 'Spectorbirds' I am organising please PM me. Serious interest only please....
  3. I've worked with the same production company behind this programme....and they're not interested in making it real. They enjoy manufacturing situations and editing it to stress tensions etc. Sad that that they can't just make something real....
  4. Stunner..... I have almost the same, but the BB3000S (non active). Fantastic basses..... GLWTS!
  5. Yep, brilliant band..... Seen them three times now..... at Nells in Kensington, The Jazz Cafe in Camden and most recently at The Scala in Kings Cross.... Album 4 is complete so looking forward to that being released!
  6. Sold a VT Bass Deluxe to Mark. Fast payment and great comms, thanks. Recommended buyer!
  7. I tried one of these in Guitar Guitar yesterday..... played really nicely and sounded great. Really like the lake placid blue with blocks.... but also the black with blocks! Both look great.... https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/220118379926025--squier-40th-anniversary-precision-bass-gold-edition-lake-placid https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/220118379927025--squier-40th-anniversary-precision-bass-gold-edition-black-india Anyone else tried one/got one? Thoughts?
  8. Bought a few Schaller straplock bits from Chris. Smooth & easy transaction. Recommended!
  9. 'War Of The Worlds' immersive experience this afternoon.... followed by yacht rock revivalists 'Young Gun Silver Fox' tonight!
  10. Well, he seems a bit of a pink torpedo, but if that's what he wants/doesn't want then that's up to him. Nothing to get offended over, or offended on behalf of others over. I don't want a tibetan derrière-flute player in my band...... and that's my choice. Nothing to see here, keep calm and carry on....
  11. Me too.... Facebook aren't interested....
  12. I prefer the LX to be honest. I'm not a fan of the Darkglass pre/Barts combo in the LT - too sterile/glassy. The Tonepump pre/EMGs combo in the LX has more of the classic Spector tone to my ears.... The LT is slightly weight relieved.... but if I want weight relieved I prefer my Euro Classic which has EMG BTS pre/EMGs. All IMHO, YMMV etc etc
  13. I have one as well. Awesome amp and sounds great with all of my basses, passive or active. A lovely clean tone that dirties up nicely to whatever level I want it! They should never have discontinued it....
  14. The blocks ARE what I like about these. Sets them apart from the hundreds of other standard P basses out there...
  15. Peter Cetera (Chicago) by far.... Then: Joe Puerta (Ambrosia) David Paton (Pilot) Gene Simmons (KISS) Sting (Police etc) DUg Pinnick (Kings X) Geddy Lee (Rush) Jack Blades (Night Ranger/Damn Yankees) Kip Winger (Winger) Tiran Porter (Doobie Bros) Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy) Timothy B Schmit (Eagles) Paul McCartney (Beatles etc)
  16. He has his autobiography coming out within the next couple of months....
  17. This wonderful suite..... featuring, quite possibly, the most beautiful male voice ever. That of the late Chris Rainbow....
  18. The debut album with 'The Healer' etc?! Classic...
  19. I'll say it again. The venue is responsible for paying a percentage of box office to PRS on ticketed events. If you are hiring the venue/acting as Promoter etc is is quite possible that as you are handling the financial side, they are expecting you to cover the evening's PRS cost. Whether you agree to that or not is between you and the venue. It's not a 'tax', it's standard practice at any venue that has regularly ticketed events and the money goes towards paying out set lists.
  20. For ticketed events the venue/promoter must pay PRS a percentage of box office takings from the event to be paid to the composers/publishers of the songs performed on the night/at the event (hence the need to provide detailed setlists). A normal venue will do this every night with its gigs...... but sometimes when using an outside Promoter they will pass this to them to cover.
  21. There's playing 16th notes..... and then there's playing them with groove and finesse. The difference is audible.... That's the reason why the likes of Billy Sheehan sing the praises of Michael Anthony, Cliff Williams etc...
  22. John Miles - More Miles Per Hour (MMPH) album....
  23. I'm just waiting for a quote from Ayn Rand..... then my 'quote bingo' card is complete!
