I've played one extensively and enjoyed the feel and sound....... but the 'look'..... urghhhh.....

Picked up a lake placid blue one with gold hardware and blocks last week in the Thomann Black Friday sale for £280 delivered (inc all taxes etc)! Fantastic bass, looks awesome and plays/sounds fantastic. A wonderful addition to the collection. Makes me want a black one now!

Ordered a bass from them on Fri 25th November and it arrived, no issues, on Thursday (1st Dec). Taxes, postage etc all included in the bargain price I paid!

I really wish they had reversed the P pickup. It also looks quite far back.... I wonder if it weights the same as the J too?

It's all about the influence they had on a whole culture. Young people were enthused, many instruments were picked up, haircuts styled, girls wet themselves etc.... I enjoy their music but wouldn't place them in my Top 100 bands. Imho, George Harrison wrote their best stuff, followed by McCartney (who actually wrote alone a lot of the tracks credited to him and Lennon). The Get Back series on the tellybox recently was an eye opener in that regard..... Lennon had his moments but, due to his 'charisma', is held in undue reverence. YMMV etc.....
