  1. Yes, you said that before..... Next!
  2. Way to blow a light hearted thread title way out of context.... This has nothing to do with banter and to link it to persecution of gingers, PTSD and mental health is to give it far too much credence. I was already thinking that most people in the UK are 'a bit dim'. This thread isn't changing my mind....
  3. I'd be offended on your behalf.... Except......that's what I look like! But I'm not offended.....
  4. The title of the thread is "Maybe Everyone In The USA Isn't Dim After All..."
  5. Yes, often. Not 'offended', just puzzled as to 'why people treated him differently'. Anyway..... that Nirvana album cover kid, eh? What an opportunist joker..... (Hope noone takes offence on behalf of opportunist jokers)
  6. The only people I see being 'offended' are those who aren't the actual people being jokingly mentioned... 🙄
  7. Gotta love the 'offence appropriation' that seems to be the norm these days *facepalm*
  8. Get a decent wattage lightweight class D head (e.g. 500-800W) and a great neodynium speaker 2x12 cab that can handle similar and that's all you'll need. Plenty of power and headroom and anything bigger will be through the PA. Look at GK, Genz Benz, Fender, Darkglass and all the other similar manufacturers producing this type of equipment and you won't go wrong.
  9. I've been listening to the Whitesnake 1978-1982 CD boxset 'Little Box O Snakes'. Always appreciated Neil Murray's playing but had never realised quite how much he sounds like Andy Fraser! That staccato, farty, low mid pumping tone is quite something....
  10. Beautiful piece of wood, that.... Congrats!
  11. I played a function gig at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. Onstage 10.45, off at 1am. Great night and home in bed at 4am....
  12. Spector Euro X... hopefully in dark ultraviolet, black or maybe white. The much awaited new GK RB series bass head...
  13. All the early Chicago albums (Peter Cetera) Doobie Bros - The Captain & Me, What Were Once Vices... and Stampede (Tiran Porter) Toy Matinee - s/t (Guy Pratt) The early Kate Bush Albums (David Paton, Del Palmer etc)
  14. Just got this... my last purchase for 2021! The first Spector Ethos in the UK and in 'interstellar gloss' finish 😍 Matches my water bottle too 😉 Plays beautifully and sounds great... nice clear tones from the Aguilar PJ pickups and OBP2 preamp. I'll live with them for a while and then decide whether to keep as stock or upgrade to EMG-X pickups and TP/SNC Haz pre....
  15. Well, I've never been a fan of Prince. I hugely appreciate his talent but his music does absolutely nothing for me... Bring it on!!!!! 🥊🥊
  16. NSD! A gorgeous Spector Ethos in 'interstellar' gloss. Aguilar PJ pickups and OBP2 preamp... Looks and plays gorgeous! Will see how I like the sound but I may swap out to EMG X P&J and poss a TP or SNC Haz pre...
  17. In other words, Eric was informed that this whole case was doing even more damage to his already terrible reputation and he thought better of it....
  18. Get THIS and turn off the J pickup if required. A fantastic bass at a great price (I'm not affiliated with the seller - I just have one of these myself).
  19. I have one of these and it's AWESOME! Mine's been further upgraded with a John East pre but there's nothing shabby about it in its original form! GLWTS!
  20. I knew that..... just, er, testing..... Doh!!
  21. Any hope of befriending these people could only end it heartache. As Peter Griffin Homer Simpson once said.... " you don't make friends with salad"....
  22. My Fender FSR '70's classic' Precision has a Jazz neck with blocks from factory. Stunning bass....
  23. Bought a brilliant Shure wireless system from Colin. Boxed up and packaged nicely with all the original gumph. Sounds brilliant... an indispensable piece of kit! Thanks for a quick and easy transaction
  24. If it was made in Czech Republic it won't be a Performer 4.
