Nope. I've cut right back on buying that sort of stuff....

I'm likely to be playing some shows soon where I would like to use my Tech21 VTDI preamp pedal straight to PA and my IEM's (or to desk and back to IEMs) but I want to use my chorus pedal in the signal path. Excuse my ignorance and it's probably really obvious but what's the best way to do this? Is it: Wireless receiver -> Chorus -> VTDI -> Desk/PA Or is there any benefit/any way of putting the chorus after the VTDI but still getting the effect outfront/in my IEMs when required? Cheers!

At least the Gene Simmons Thunderbird will hold it's value.... and possibly gain value due to the collectability of all things KISS. Gene also did play Gibsons on and off from 74-78 (including having a TBird as backup on tour). Rex switches endorsements like he (I hope) changes pants and I've never seen him play a Gibson TBird. He moved from Spector who wouldn't give him freebies to Warwick, who give them out like jelly beans. How he or Gibson can be taken seriously with this, though, I don't know. Still, he's got the Shamtera reunion to do with Zakk Wylde who, a year ago, he swore would definitely NOT be involved... Ah, the mighty dollar....

Having watched the video they look/sound like a group of teenagers in their first band. Finding a bassist with long hair is the LEAST of their issues. Playing in time and singing in tune should be their priorities. You can add a 'name' Producer to anything but you can't always polish a turd....

Yep, Peter Cetera is definitely my fave (hence my Basschat 'handle') and this amazing cover is a perfect example of why! So creative, melodic, grooving and solid..... and hugely underrated imho. Closely followed, for me, by Tiran Porter with the Doobie Brothers....

I have my EQ at 2 o'clock bass, 2.30 lo-mid, noon hi-mid and 11.30 treble as the amp is very bright. Bump & Presence switches engaged. Input trim is around midday as my active Spector is very powerful. EQ on Spector dimed. I occasionally add just a tiny bit of grit from the drive section....

They have a slab front and a very slight belly chamfer on the back

Just to clarify. It is the Ian Hill neck shape (1.64 nut). The info on the webpage is a poor cut and paste by Bass Direct

Rolling Stones at Hyde Park on Sunday night. Sound was very good, though sometimes the guitars jumped in volume back and forth too much (must be a nightmare dealing with the different output levels of so many vintage guitars being swapped every song! lol!) Excellent set list of hits, but it did drop off and get a little indulgent in the middle of the set with Midnight Rambler and 2 Keith songs. Jagger was fantastic (where DOES he get that energy at 79?!?), as were Darryl Jones, the keys players and backing singers. I thought the new drummer was a bit push/pull at time..... and Keith/Ronnie were suitably sloppy, but their 'attitude' made up for it Great fun all in all!

Stones on Sunday.... then Duran Duran/Nile Rogers & Chic on the Sunday after. Both at Hyde Park.

He only ever played in A MInor anyway.... I'll get my coat.....

Or you could always organise your own one in Norfolk. Hire a village hall or school hall for the day, put the word out and make it happen

Tiran Porter with the Doobie Brothers 73 - 76. The music, the basslines, the band members and the fun on the road/in the studio that must have been had! Gene Simmons with KISS from 76 - 78. The music, the huge stages and over the top production, the gear (Spector custom, vintage SVTs and EV cabs), the money and the women.... Ricky Phillips with Styx now. The musicianship, the band members, the songs and the general high quality of the whole shebang....

Just had a weekend working backstage at Hyde Park BST Festival (Friday & Sunday). Elton John and The Eagles were both fantastic, as were the Wandering Hearts. Robert Plant/Alison Krauss were pretty good too and a new act called Juanita Euka had some great bass/drums grooves happening....
