  6. I've always thought the vegetable 'Curly Kale' would be a great stage name..... I can hear it now.... "Ladies and Gentlemen..... please put your hands together for.....on the bass guitar..... CURLY... KALE!!!! 😉😁😆
  7. Believe me, it is ALL live. I've been up close with them live and at fan meets and there is no trickery involved. They are all amazing singers......
  8. I once owned a 3 pickup black Gibson Les Paul Custom that was owned, played and toured by Ace Frehley of KISS in 1979/1980. It was signed on the back and came in its original case that was signed too. I LOVED owning it as it had scorched pick up rings on it (taken from his smoking guitar) and many pics of him using it 'live'. I felt a link to a special place/time in rock history and was honoured to own it. Of course, a huge offer from a big collector made moving it on a no-brainer, but I'm glad I got to enjoy it for a while and fell privileged to have done so. I currently own a one-off custom red firecrackle' Kramer Spector NS2' that formerly belonged to Barry Dunaway of Yngwie Malmsteen's band and was used live on Yngwie's 1989 'Trial By Fire' tour and subsequent 'Live in Leningrad' CD/DVD. I had been at the London Astoria concert of the Trial By Fire tour and had been blown away by the looks and sound of the bass but I NEVER dreamt that I would own it! When I saw it come up for sale at a US guitar shop some 20 years later at a reasonable price I felt that it was fate that I should have it. Having got to now Barry in recent years I have discovered that he hugely regrets moving it on for cashflow reasons in the years after Malmsteen.... and should I ever need to sell it he would like 1st dibs. Oh, and just remembered, I also own a black Kramer Spector NS2A that was owned/heavily toured by Mark Plunkett with the band Little Angels in the late 80's/early 90's. I bought it directly from him many years ago....
  9. Tbh, I viewed the video and wasn't convinced there was a problem with his replacement either.... And I'm not just saying that as a 'fanboy'....
  10. If when one of you guys get your VT 500 you decide you don't like it, please PM me! I'm gutted I missed this offer and would be happy to pay the just over £200 it costs for the amp, VAT and import charges.
  11. Enjoyed the John Taylor, Brian Johnson and David Coverdale ones so far. Alice Cooper was a little dull... Hmm.... which one next?!
  12. Yes, I have one.... and yes, it's great. Lovely feel, cool tone and looks tasty too...
  13. She's always been a stropmeister.... I often find myself turning over if/when she comes on TV....
  14. No, but some of us have such massive bass collections that it will make her feel much better about your basses (presuming your collection is modest)
  15. A black Spector is almost as iconic as a white Spector. Luckily for my bank account I already have that covered.... A very cool bass indeed. GLWTS!
  16. Bought an EMG preamp from Quent. Fast receipt of item and great comms as always. Highly recommended!
  17. I believe so. Not sure, I think it may be a combination of slightly wider pickups and tighter string spacing. Funny thing is, it doesn't appear to have affected every bass - may just have been a duff pickup batch in that first run?
  18. It was an issue on the early releases of the Dimension 5. It has been addressed now and new production has it sorted. Anyone with an issue from the 1st batch can get a replacement/swap.
  19. When I used to do the KISS tribute show I'd sometimes get a young support band bassist asking if he could use my bass rig. My reply (often said while I was in full 'Gene Simmons' get up 😝) of "Sure, if I can use your girlfriend" usually sent them packing... lol! 🤣😂😜
  20. Ahh....... I bow to your superior dodgy girl group knowledge..... lol!!
  21. All Saints..... weren't they the ones who sang "You can lick my hole again"? Not very Saint-like...
