Another name for the rack kit that you connect to the sides of an amp in order to rack it into an e.g. SKB rack case.....

Does anyone here make rack ears.... or know a metal fabricator who can make some cheaply? I want to rack a Tech21 VT 500 Head but the amp/accessories are no longer made so I can't seem to find a set of the ears for it. Tech21 have been kind enough to send me the original plans/drawings for the ears with all measurements etc so I just need to find someone who can make me a pair up! Cheers muchly in advance for any help/pointers...

A bass is either a good one/one that suits your style, feel etc or it isn't. I have many sig basses I love. I also have many non-sig basses I love. One does not negate the other....

Pretty ugly tbh and I don't like the cabs either....... sorry.... ymmv, imho etc....

For the rest of this year I just have: Steely Dan tribute 'Stanley Dee' at the Half Moon, Putney Yacht Rock sensation 'Young Gun Silver Fox' at the Jazz Cafe, London and will probably go to either 'Dizzy Lizzy' or 'Wrong Jovi' at The Tropic in Ruislip.

Best tribute band ever..... they play Chicago material SO well.... and when they branch out into E,W&F, Ides Of March, Blood Sweat & Tears etc they nail them too... LOVE them! -
Maybe he was commanding you to "Play something you know!!" ?

I HATE anyone coming uninvited into the stage area. My worst one was back in my KISS tribute days at a gig in South Shields where a couple of drunken idiots got on a stage full of pyro and tried to sing along in the choruses. When they wouldn't leave, I stopped playing and left the stage, refusing to return until venue security did their job. We'd put up "Warning, pyro!" notices either side of the stage but you can just bet that if one of those drunks blew their leg off it would be OUR fault.... Shame, really..... would have served them right.... I love a bit of Darwinism....

I imagine there were quite a few other such/even more momentous days in the late 60's/70's but I'm buggered if I'm gonna go trawling through every release date of every album to see which ones marry up! lol! -
Thanks! Why a Euro X? Well because I want some more , and more affordable versions of this bass in other colours lol!

Just stumbled across this cracking selection of isolated original basslines. Interesting to hear the original recorded tones and playing behind some iconic lines: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEsDszgMi-LZBRKgKUeS6vg/search?query=bass Click on the 'Videos' tab to hear ALL the other isolated vocal, guitar, keys, etc etc audio files

True, but in the case of the Spectorbird (X model) they already have the templates from some custom orders they did a few years ago at the Czech factory.

This..... ^ They really SHOULD release a Euro-X (Spectorbird) though..... we keep asking for it!

Has anyone heard of, or have any first hand experience of, this company? They appear to make custom preamp pedals.... I'm particularly interested in this GK 800RB pedal: https://www.mastereffectspedals.com/super-eight-hundred They also have an Ampeg SVT pedal: https://www.mastereffectspedals.com/superthreehundred as well as Orange, Peavey, Traynor, HiWatt, Mesa/Boogie preamp pedals....

Yep, as Peter Griffin said on Family Guy: "Not even Peter Criss wants to be Peter Criss" 🤣 He was such a grumpy bugger half the time.... I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the band told the crew to leave him up there a bit longer on purpose.... lol! The original 'Grumpy Cat'... -

I have an old bootleg of a KISS show in the 70's where at the very end of the gig the drum riser goes up 30ft in the air with lots of pyro exploding around it. As the explosions and audience noise fades and the rest of the band have obviously left the stage you can just hear drummer Peter Criss shouting (picked up by his mic) "Get me down!!! Get me the fukk down!!!" 😂🤣 -
I started doing some vids for myself, just for fun, during lockdown and before I knew it I'd done over 100 of my fave basslines. Haven't uploaded any in a while as moving house but will be uploading more shortly... GPB Bassman vids
