Score!!! It actually looks like a Euro35LX - 35" scale, so ideal for downtuning (or even restringing B E A D with great string tension). Nice!

Keep it open to everyone..... then at decision stage as to who gets an audition just choose what you are looking for. -

Advertise for what YOU want. If you want a balding bloke with a huge beard in his 60's then you obviously want that for a reason. Bands are products and who is anyone else to tell you YOUR product. -
How do you decide whether you like a certain song, band, genre.....?

If it has a vocal.... can they sing? If they can't or their voice grates (to me) it's game over. If it is purely instrumental..... does it stir something in me? Do I get the feeling that the artist/writer has put effort into it/the arrangement/structure? Do I feel a connection on some level (soul, tingling, excitement, emotion, energy)? I don't want much.... just talent, effort and an intangible connection...... -
I just love listening to people who can sing.

His vocal stylings were amazing.... the 'Beach Boys' style harmonies he did.... and the jingle stuff he did on the radio back in the day were quite something. A huge talent sorely missed. Sorry for your loss but what wonderful memories, to have known him... -

The Alan Parsons Project have had some amazing guest vocalists. This is my fave track with the beautiful tones of the late Chris Rainbow: And of course, who could forget the emotive Colin Blunstone on the haunting 'Old & Wise': -

I've always been a huge fan of male tenor voices. Steve Perry (Journey) is really THE "be all and end all" in emotive, soulful rock voices for me. Noone comes close. Here he is 'live' back in 1981: Here he is, at his soulful, smoothest: My other fave is Peter Cetera, here with the equally fab Amy Grant in the mid 80's: ....and back with Chicago (in the studio) in the mid 70's: -

Ah yes, they're interchangeable elbow/shoulder spikes.... for when the guitarist/lead singer has REALLY been p*ss*ng you off and you want to bang into him on stage... They were hugely necessary in my experience.

Got one of these - great for the money! I'm upgrading the pickup to a Gzr as the stock are low output. Expecting to hear a vast improvement!

Peter Cetera on stage...... Tiran Porter to my left and John Deacon to my right with Rutger Gunnarsson (RIP) & Dee Murray (RIP) sitting behind me...

Original Gallien-Krueger 400RB and/or 800RB. I played every head under the sun for years looking for THAT tone (authoritative, punchy, full, piano-definition, harmonic edged, grindy) and finally found it in these heads. They're built like tanks too and as a result were industry standard live-hire heads for a couple of decades....

New Hamer Bass Day!!! With HUGE thanks to an amazing friend in WA, USA (who secured it for me and sent it to the UK) I have just received this amazing condition Copper/Gold 1990 Hamer Impact bass (designed by Kip Winger). Less than 200 ever made of this beauty....! It looks, feels, plays and sounds AWESOME!! A really focused, tight but full piano tone with a little edge. 😎🎸😎👍 That makes three Hamer Impacts in my collection now! 🎸🎸🎸
