I own a one-off 'red firecrackle' USA Kramer Spector NS2 that was made for Barry Dunaway (who was touring with Yngwie Malmsteen at the time). I saw him playing it on the Odyssey tour at London Dominion Theatre (and then the 'Trial By Fire - Live In Leningrad' DVD) and was blown away by it. I never dreamt it would come up for purchase some 25 years later.... but when it did (on ebay.com through a shop in Miami, Florida) I pounced and made a low ball offer! I've since become online friends with Barry (who now plays for 38 Special) and he's confirmed that it was indeed his.... and if I ever want to move it on he wants first dibs! I've also got to know the custom spray artist who worked for Kramer/Spector at the time who was commissioned to paint this very bass....

I believe all new models are currently delayed (due to Covid-19 etc). I'm still waiting on the new Euro Classic range to hit the UK. Need to try a solid red Euro Classic with EMG BT circuit...

Please be aware that I can only have this number because I am lucky enough to have access to a secure storage/practice facility..... I can't keep them all at home! lol! Find yourself one of those..... and the wife can't complain

I always loved classic 70's TV music. So many great arrangements and bass lines/tones. However, I also have a soft spot for an occasional 80's classic...... like the 'Theme From Fame' played by NY session great Neil Jason. Here's my OK-ish attempt.... I'm more comfortable with a pick but this was originally played with fingers (& occasional thumb).:

Sadly he passed away at a young age and his talent is much missed 😢 Third Matinee, though it has it's moments isn't a patch on Toy Matinee as it doesn't have the magic that Kevin brought to the table....

His latest vid is up now.... and it's one of my fave basslines EVER..... from my fave album EVER!! So thrilled to see/hear him play along with it.... it's made my week... nay, month(!!)....and on his gorgeous Spector NS2 😎 'Last Plane Out' from the wonderful 'Toy Matinee' album. 😍 😎
