....yep..... and some much more sordid events...
-
They're only as hot as the pre-amp they're linked with. If you have a Tonepump you can reduce the output gain. However, early Tonepump models don't have a trimpot on the side of them.... you'd need to check yours.
-
Yes, the Tonepump with EMG PJ or DC is VERY hot. There is a trimpot on the side of the Tonepump where the output gain can be reduced. People seem to like to reduce to between 40% & 60%. The Tonepump Jr isn't as hot and the EMG Hz pickups are passive so this is less of an issue on the Far-East models...

If you're not all on the same page then I'd sack the band off. Find driven, enthusiastic people and repeat...... hopefully with more success.

Her first (& most famous) album was almost completely written (including bass parts) by the songwriting collective known as the Tuesday Night Music Club which featured Bill Bottrell, Kevin Gilbert (RIP) etc.... She has managed to take credit for it all and didn't even thank them on her Grammy speech. She doesn't have a great reputation thanks to this and a number of other similar events...

The new Spector (now owned by Korg) line-up has been announced. Personally I'm a little disappointed that they didn't: 1) offer more Euro colour options as standard 2) offer a JJ pickup Euro 4 string 3) offer a Euro X (Spectorbird) model 4) offer a maple board Euro model Also, who the hell is Skyler Acord? And why does he deserve a signature model? However, I'm HUGELY gassing for a solid red gloss Euro classic.... and I like the new black & blue matte colour on the EuroLX. Will be interested to hear the Fishman loaded EuroLT too... https://bassmusicianmagazine.com/2020/01/spector-bass-model-updates-and-signature-models-for-namm-2020/

Truth..... fantastic sounding preamp if you use it wisely/sparingly....!
-
Add 'Stampede' in and you will have the 'awesome foursome'!

I know organisations/places like the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame don't really count for anything - but it's still nice when a band who deserves more plaudits receives such worldwide recognition. Today, one of my all-time fave musical acts - 'The Doobie Brothers' were announced as 2020 inductees! Can't wait to see my good friend (and bass influence) Tiran Porter finally reunite with his old band for the induction ceremony/performance, along with other alumni including original drummer John Hartman and guitar legend Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter!

The duck has to be Skin from Skunk Anansie.... and the Hedgehog could be Ed Balls....?

Good bassist usually...... but not here... and utterly cringeworthy in his failed attempts to be funny.... Felt like I'd entered another weird dimension watching that.... Not sure what drug he'd been taking but he needs to lay off it...Ashdown must be..errr... thrilled at that promo... lol!

Just looking at sending an amp in the UK and even with the discount applied it only comes in £1 under UPS Interparcel Premium.... so with a Euro-Sterling conversion fee likely to be added it works out approx the same.... :(

Devastated. Probably the finest drummer ever and a helluva lyricist. Having read his books he'd been through so much tragedy... and now to lose his own life in such a horrible way is so shocking. RIP Neil & thanks for the wonderful music x

I believe so, yes....

I never make New Year resolutions.....especially regarding not buying gear... Good job really as I have a new Spector incoming within the next fortnight! lol! 😁

The band name/date/venue on the supplied set list needs to line up with the performance reporting by the venue, be this direct from the venue or on internet advertising etc.

As someone who works for PRS and has worked on live music teams I can tell you that we easily spot stuff like this and put it to one side unpaid until further information is received. Anyway, I can't imagine why you would want to rip off your fellow musicians/songwriters..... and I'm sure you'd appreciate it if someone played one of your songs somewhere and told us about it so you could receive your money....

Ampeg SVT III (3) Pro Bass Amp. Fantastic industry standard original issue US-made Ampeg 'Hybrid' bass amp. Not a Chinese reissue.... Get all the tone without lugging a massive all-tube SVT head around! I used this amp for a few years on occasional live shows and it never let me down. It's been sitting unused in its flightcase (included in auction) for a while now as it has become surplus to requirements. Powers up, works fine and sounds awesome, especially when using the controls correctly (something many SVTIII Pro users don't do!). Hook it up to an efficient 4ohm cab or load, run the Master near max, add the EQ channel in (flat or to taste) for an extra volume boost and use the input gain to control your overall volume and this is a VERY LOUD BEAST! Also, be aware that Tube gain is engaged at COUNTER-CLOCKWISE not clockwise! Specs: RMS Power Output (8 Ohms): 275-Watts RMS Power Output (4 Ohms): 450-Watts Preamp: Tubes (3 x 12AX7) Driver Tubes: 1 x 12AX7, 1 x 12AU7 Power Amp: Solid-State Tone Controls: 3-Band Mid Tone Control: 5-Position Graphic EQ: Yes, 9-Band Ultra Low/High Boosts: Yes Balanced Line Out: Yes, Pre/Post with Ground Lift and Level Effects Loop: Yes Preamp Out/Power Amp In: Yes Dimensions (W x H x D inches): 19 x 3.5 x 15.5 Weight: 26 Pounds Looking for a very fair £350 please. Paypal (you pay fees), direct bank transfer or cash on collection please. Collection from Woking/Guildford preferred but will courier for £25. Please see my extensive positive feedback history for assurance of a clean, honest transaction.

Disappointing experiance with new basses.

Spector QC is second to none... and then Barnes & Mullins do their own checks... and I expect Bass Direct did the once over too. Enjoy your new bass and welcome to the 'club' :) -
I'm already in the process of purchasing that one
