I spent 26+ years in a KISS tribute, wearing many kilos of body armour, 7" stack heeled boots, a mahogany and maple bass, wig, make-up..... I breathed fire and had flames and pyrotechnics going on behind me. All my movements had to be BIG and exaggerated to fit the part I was performing.... Our shows were regularly 2 hours and I used to get VERY hot under such conditions - as you can imagine. I drank copious amounts of water to stay hydrated but I wasn't (still am not) particularly fit - however I have a 6ft 3" solid build and my body is reasonably strong. I was SERIOUSLY knackered after ever show though..... lol!

G-Live. When's the Hampton Pool show?
-
Ah, right.... thanks for the clarification :) It's Gary not Gareth btw... lol!
-
Is that 100% confirmed? I was looking forward to seeing Nick Beggs but I can only make the Sunday & I heard he was Saturday only?
-
Forgot to say I'm seeing the fantastic Kate Bush tribute 'Cloudbusting' on Friday night at Dorking Halls featuring one of own own Basschatters (Dave) on bass :)

Never tried one as I've been more than happy with my original 400/800RB's. I have heard that the 700RB-II gets closer in sound to the originals though (if that's your thing..... which it is for me).
-
I had Trace Elliott, Ampeg, TC etc and finally found the sound in my head with my Spectors and GK. In my case it was specifically the old 400RB and 800RB heads. Supremely reliable, hella loud and can punch through any band/mix with ease. I'm very interested in the new Legacy class D heads..... if they can reproduce my classic RB heads in a small class D package that I can chuck in a bag then I'm sold!
-
Soooooo tempted by the 800. Only thing I don't like is the power button on the back. If it's racked this is a pain to get to!
-
They've posted the wrong rear photo. That must be the Legacy800 model....

Lynyrd Skynyrd (Farewell Tour) with support from a Rossi-led Status Quo (meh...) at Wembley Arena on Saturday night.

Does anyone know which one this is? Spector experts would be great :)

For a PJ setup in soapbar housing check out the EMG 35P4 ad EMG 35J. For something different many people go with the EMG DC pickups.... http://www.emgpickups.com/bass/extended-series.html Both should work with the BT circuit you have. I'd try that first.... -

Upgrade the pickups to full active EMG soapbars (many choices) and the EMG BT circuit will come alive.... :) -

Yep, looks like a Q4 Pro http://www.spectorbass.com/uploads/Resources/Archived_Korean.jpg -
Wow... How the hell was a GK800RB too quiet?!? I've never had mine above 11 o'clock even on the loudest stage!?! Sounds like you needed new efficient cabs rather than selling the amp...
-
That'll be why I've never heard of her! I'm too busy actually getting out and playing live.... lol!
-
Never heard of the former....... but the latter is the one I knew about and am immensely looking forward to seeing!
-
Same basses, different 'series' name.... zzzz....

Can't say any more at this stage but one of the special guests I've heard about will be fantastic :)
